Good job
This is country as cow shit, with some French and German thrown in. Out of practice. Thinking out of that box too many people are stuck inside. Get crazy now and then. Comme ci, comme ca.

Lyric -- Our condition has changed, but a load still remains, those others, still spitting out pain. Their a load on us all, so much spite, so fat with hate, the weight, blinding their sight. Chorus -- SO HEAVY, SO HEAVY THE LOAD, CLIMBING THIS MOUNTAIN, ON THIS LONG TWISTED ROAD, SO HEAVY, SO HEAVY THE LOAD, WEIGHING US DOWN, BUT WE STILL GOT OUR SOUL. So brain washed they are, their bloated and weighted, our red, white and blue, looks wrinkled and faded. They still want their places with treasure and power, with no shame at all, in their ivory tower. Chorus Our forefathers, saw this coming, so they wrote some rules to keep this country running. We hold these truths, to be self evident, and we'll spill our blood, before we see them spent. Chorus

This new administration is doing nothing but good for America. Look at America now after 4 years of woke and democrats. The puppet masters conned so many people, Obama was the worst, leading you into his web of deceit. So many don't realize how beautiful America can be and will be again. America has been assulted for 20 years and America is a mess now for that. Help make America "liveable" again.
Soundtrack? Good question. A contemporary movie with traditional moral and layman, blue collar, any working folks values at stake, a movie with some hard truth, but entertaining, getting some emotion out of your tight ass.
At their insistence I played this for some folks while writing it. I said "It might confuse you or abuse you but that will be good, emotion. It might offend, but that's good too. A song everyone likes and no one hates is boring".

I played this for a few folks at their insistence. I said "It don't pull no punches and you might confuse the villian, though it's obvious to me, but maybe not to you. If your offended, that's good. It brought our some emotion. If you just don't like, we'll no one is supposed to 100% like a song. It will be a very boring song"

No one lives forever and 100 years from now no one will know your name or csre a tinkers dime about you. A very few might be subjects looked jp on Google so just cool it. Just don't give a damn.
I know several songwriters who got some great cuts back in the day. They all had one piece of information that stayed with me. "It is much harder to get a "great" song recorded than a non threatening middle of the road radio piece because great songs are always different." The country classic "He Stopped Loving Her Today" was a very difficult song to get cut and almost did not get recorded. George Jones, the great country singer took a year to finally record the song and said, "No one is going to listen to that morbid son of a bitch". The song won best country single for the year 1980 and a Grammy for best male vocal performance about a funeral. Country music with the ownership of I Heart and other cooperate owned big stations has made country become homogeneous. People don't seem to mind oweing to the large amount of touring done by artists due to the airplay of their songs and good PR between fans and audience, but it would seem a larger variety of songs picked by labels and stations of a more different and grass roots hard "country" nature would add to larger numbers of new listeners. I understand about if it ain't broke, don't fix, (or change), but the data shows many listeners, mostly men in a female dominated market would add more male listeners to country with more songs directed towards the male market, and the big audience who are not fans of the current songs played by country radio in a population of 336 million people in the United States. Adding some original Southern Rock, some traditional country, folk, blue grass, country blues would surely not offend and could only add new listeners. There is so much potential and huge numbers to add to the country audience it only seems to make sense to think a little out of the box. There are some great songs in the country vein that are left out of the country market because of tunnel vision. I'm thinking, think bigger, not forgetting the market is built on the back of traditional country music and there is a line that fans draw in the sand with certain artists and songs when they get too glitzzy and plastic.

Sometimes the songs fall out like cherries off a tree. U gotta catch them quick, and try to save them or they just rot on the ground, forgotten. Where they go after you lay them down is anyone's guess.

October 8, 1962 the Cuban missle crisis was resolved. A bunch of us kids thought this was doomsday and acted appropriately. I just found out a similar scene is in the new Bob Dylan movie. We were at the beach on the Atlantic side waiting on the mushroom cloud.. Dylan was in a hotel room with a girl. This story and song got me a 20 dollar tip at a songwriters night a few months ago. After that I saw the trailer of the new Dylan movie. Cool.

Octobrer 8, 1962, the Cuban missle crisis was resolved. We were at the beach drinking Purple Jesus having sex and waiting on the mushroom cloud to bloom. I just saw where they had a scene in the new Bob Dylan movie about what Dylan did during this same crisis at that same time. I guess a lot of kids were thinking this was the end.
A glance into the supernatural reality of the 21st century. There are things we just can't explain, but we somehow know they exist beyond our intelect. It's like you can drive a car, but most of us can't build one.

When you all see all those angels flying round

To me, being alone with my spiritual self and creating that "every" first song, playing it, hearing it back, using it up, and going on to the next song that comes out of the well makes me complete. I don't need anything else. Ambition gets in your way. I always knew if I ever made it big in any way, it would be an accident. Someone would appear and talk me into doing what had to be done, and I would go along kicking and screaming all the way.
Google willie nelson free soul.
In a way, it's great when you're not famous. You can write and play with complete freedom going to any extreme. When you have had just a little success, enough to know you "could" make if you put 110% into it, but you were busy having fun, so you wrote and played for just the fun of it, that was the best of times. With u tube you can still show case your material and play live now and then, and people like your original songs that they never heard before it's really cool. People ask you "Who did that song, I like it", and you say "I wrote it", and they say, "You sang it, but who made it famous". They leave never believing that was your original song it's a cool feeling.
It seems this song has born the fruit of reality with angels in the sky and all manner of sounds surrounding us, invading our ears and senses. I don't think there is any doubt this coming year of 2025 is going to be an interesting time to be alive and on this rare earth. It seems the powers to be, not us, are showing themselves, either because they are unhappy with our conduct on earth like in this song or on a more happy note, maybe thinking we are ready to receive gifts that will advance us from savages, killing each other, to the next level, a utopian society free of nucular weapons and their threat to our survival, and a peace loving world, free of the deep state who have held back our advancement for hundreds of years to keep "their" power over "us", the average, struggling human. Food for thought will make you grow strong.

"Me and the South", a southern rock song that takes you on a tour of the south starting with southern girls, delicious foods, beautiful sunsets, redneck places, and places in the southern heart. "Let me take my guitar out and sing about me and the south".
"THAT PIGS DESTINY WAS BREAKFAST FOR ME MAN"
How many sons never got to really know their father. It leaves an empty hole in you not knowing who dad was. Mom did her best but the emptiness remained. Sometimes later in life there might be second chances. That's what this song is about.

When you really love someone and you lose that love it's like getting your leg or an arm ripped off of you, and no matter what you do you can't get over the Trama of the loss. Love hurts. This is the Waylon sound, a sound sorely neglected with smart lyrics. This is a song Waylon might have written had he lived, a successful sound if promoted and recorded by an artist on a major or indie label with major distribution. A smart move by a producer thinking out of the box.

A publisher we work with in Nashville said Allen Jackson's producer liked this ballad for Allen, a longing goodby love song painted with the emotion only a couple can know. It can move you to tears, but it's been a couple months now so......this song has been on hold 2 times in the last year. If you can't handle rejection, stay out of the entertainment business. If you can handle it, it's wonderful, even the rejection. It makes you strong, and usually inspire to persevere.
Destiny, a contradiction in terms. It doesn't come to you, you go to it, but it can pass you by and melt, or like a giant snowball waiting, you can roll into it and be showered in glory. Wow, destiny is so unpredictable. It can happen in little squirts, or fall on you like an ocean. Destiny, a very interesting concept.
Thank you Max. This song is about Bob Dylan in this period of his life. He said in an interview he quit writing because the words no longer come to him. Without sounding overinflated I think I am drawing from the same well that gives a few of us a drink of creation for a time. As the song says "what you gonna do when the muse no longer visits you". That was very intuitive of you. It's so refreshing when someones "gets" what you are saying in a song. Thanks for listening. I would love for Dylan to tune into my little back channel for a listen. He got some great songs out of the well.
For my old cowboy friend when I was at Ft Sam Houston Texas, a real cowboy who taught a few soldiers how to try and ride a 2000 pound animal before we went to Vietnam. Those critters are huge when you have never been on one. GOD bless you Tex. In heaven.
Soundtrack for Wings of Stone. Life goes so fast, goes right past as destiny awaits, not moving towards you, but you towards it as the tongue unfolds singing your song.
