A lot of great songs on this album. I don't think I heard of this band until maybe 10-15 years ago. I don't remember hearing anyone mention them growing up in the '80s which is sad because I think they would have been popular. Everyone was listening to Echo and the Bunnymen, the Smiths and the Cure at the time.

Something I just realized... the fidelity of the recording adds extremely to its incomprehensibility. Like, I've listened to many chaotic recordings, but with this, even if you TRY to stick with deciphering which instrument is playing what, it is truly the most futile task in existence. For that alone, this album deserves the highest of praise.

Removing the silences makes this feel like a Greatest Hits album. It's funny how the pauses become both the most difficult part of the experience because they accentuate the noise. "Take me back to 4:33! that ol' time avant-garde."

Так то вроде и неплохо , но хороших мелодий не хватает . Всё же дум это не только медленно , но и мелодично быть должно , а у Paramaecium с мелодикой не очень . ИМХО . Те же Theatre Of Tragedy , в этом же 1996 году , куда ярче звучат , да и вокально более профессиональны . Но все равно плюсанул .
