I'm 13 and I relate to this too much. I was always convinced that I was fat. I want to be skinny, but i just feel this need to eat, even when I'm not hungry. I don't bother washing my face because I don't see any difference. I get discouraged too easily. My room is always messy. I get offended too much. I feel like, sometimes, my parents don't love me, even though I know they do. Gosh, I hate the slob that I've become.

At least for today or tomorrow, I wouldn't have to be disgusted both from wearing "too many chemicals to the point i look unfuckable" and "why don't you wear makeup, it will make a pretty lady like you more valuable." Because it doesn't, and it never will. A compliment and a drink that you think will give you a woman's whole life and a simple penny of power that overweights trust and meaning of humanity. Or the feeling of tears while painting my face with powder like a clown and hoping maybe now, anybody will give me a place in society and validation as a woman. Or or the anger that gets titled as "overreacting" just because YOU can't handle it, just because you can't stand my breakdown that you planted in my personality. Maybe some day in history, a 13-year-old girl wouldn't have to sit in front of the dresser, look herself in the mirror, staring where she has to put the mole would make her look more beautiful, wonder if her pink blush is too light on her cheekbone. Or maybe if she's walking down the hall, the mixed feeling of two parts in her heart that hopes not everyone is looking at her butt or some aren't judging that she's being a slut just by her way of clothing. You know why, because a simple word girl strikes a surreal way of life that no girl lives and the word woman represents a different 'girl' but more mature. Because that's what the society prefers. Standards weren't for them to price us based on our gender or capabilities. Because it's always "it's hard being a woman" but never "who's making it hard to be a woman."
