The Rush Experience
Добавлен 8 авг 2022
Hailing from the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan Area, The Rush Experience are a true RUSH Tribute Act in that the band fulfill the traditional roles of Geddy, Alex and Neil... with Vince Tricarico on drums and percussion... Burke Hunn on guitars and synthesizer pedals... and David Kidd on bass, vocals, keyboards and pedals.
The band's repertoire spans RUSH's entire career from their 1974 debut album through 2012's epic swan song, Clockwork Angels. The Rush Experience focuses primarily on RUSH's hey-day 70's and 80's material, performing many of their greatest hits with a wealth of surprising deep cuts that perhaps Rush only played live.

A special thanks to the two Rush Fans at The Landis Theater last weekend 1/27/2024 who caught the drum solo. I (Vince) cut your videos together and would like to share 'my' attempt at this. I've always loved his drum solos over the years so I thought I'd take some of my favorite moments from those solos, knit them together and try and play them as a song so we can remember those wonderful momen...

they rocked chareleston sc
Charleston last night was excellent. Have seen Rush 68 times in my life and these guys did a wonderful job.
they rocked chareleston
Been a RUSH Disciple since April of '75 and I have No Doubt in my mind that Dirk, Lerxst and The Professor are absolutely digging this! Cheers Everyone!
I just saw you in Michigan City, Indiana (8-10-24). Had to leave early. I was very impressed. Excellent job boys. I'll check you out again and watch all of it.
@@jonnytonto5298 Well be in Hobert, IN 11/8
That is just weird, it’s ok to cover the music but to try to look the same and act the same is silly. It’s about music folks, not appearance
Yes, the bass player is definitely trying to look like Geddy.
I’ll be seeing you all in September, can’t wait.
It’s great to have all of the top equipment but you’ve still got to be able to play. I saw this band live and they weren’t that bad. The only thing is the drummer is choppy and his tempo fluctuations throw off the whole band. Also, maybe he would benefit from someone showing him how to tune his drums. They’re expensive DW’s and they really should sound a lot better
Another one I never got to experience live.
I wish I could've seen this one live. I'd even love to see a cover band play it. Your Geddy did great with that vocal, bass, synth pedal finale!
Interesting seeing the P bass being used for these tunes!
My best friend of 50 years and I were complete Rush heads growing up in the early 80s. He always hated this song. Fast forward to 2019. On a mancation to Nevada we had rented a fabulous Airbnb in Henderson Nevada. There was an elevated cabana by the pool. From there we could see the lights of Vegas. After a long day of desert trekking and some perfectly grilled steaks we sat and just watched the lights upon the horizon in silence. I brought my Alexa blue tooth speaker and she was randomly playing my songs that she knew I liked. Lakeside park starts echoing off the pool and filled the air.... He quietly says, "I remember when I didn't like this song at all.....Funny how things change.....what a masterpiece......" He passed away June of 2020. 😢
Finally....A drummer not faking the parts. Everything was spot on. This is one of my favorite Rush songs and you guys did it as well as it could have been done. Hats off.
Hermoso
That is the.closest I have ever heard a P bass come to sounding ljke a Wal.
i saw these guys live in Rochester a couple of nights ago, awesome Rush cover band, second best one I've ever seen (the best is Bravado from North Yorkshire, England). Their Geddy sounded just like the real thing. will definitely go again next time they are in town.
That was absolutely incredible! Amazing tribute to Neil that was learned and assembled the same way he always did - "With care taken". Mad respect and props! Thank you for the work it took to put this together so we all could smile and enjoy it. 🙏🏼👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
Awesome drummer. Maybe Neil is in his body his spirit you know.
Why do people in audiances not jam out with the band anymore they just stand there?
That’s how it always is now a days, unfortunately.. people are either too insecure or just lame
wait this is pretty fucking good lmao
I'm going to see them August 2, 2024 in a small venue in Rhode Island. Birthday gift from my sister!
These cover bands of my top number one band of all time have my respect 100%
Sounds great. Looking forward to our shows coming up 8-9-23 & 8-10-24
Great.
The only thing I don’t understand is why you don’t play a jazz bass. The precision is not guttural enough to cut through the mix on a tree piece rock sound! apart from that you guys are awesome:)
Brilliant ☝️
hes neil ???
From a die hard 50 year Rush fan, these guys are fantastic!!
great job, sound clear also, next time play part of the song backwards neil would proud lol
Is that Neil Peart on the drums ? .....🤔
Neil is looking down - nod of approval
Quality

drummer is great, I would like to hear more guitar in the mix....could be the recording...not soundboard
Me happy!
Great solo, man! Can't wait to see the new kit.
BUENISIMOSSSS❤...LONG LIVE RUSH!!! Y TEMAZO DEL SIGNALS...
This guy is amazing, Neil would be proud
Just subbed. Great playing! You guys are so solid. Can't wait to see the new drum kit.
Great job! I understand your kit is set up to be a replica of Neil's kit, including placement. Do you find the height of the toms and the hi hat being set that high uncomfortable to play? Or is that the way you prefer it as well. To me it seems like a "reach" to hit those high toms, and to me would be uncomfortable to play.
Tony - Vince here and thanks for the nice comments. To answer your question. When I decided I was going to play in a Rush Tribute years ago coupled with the fact I'm a HUGE Rush fan; I wanted Rush Fans that came to see the band play instantly recognize the drumkit as something they've seen a 'Real' Rush Show. So, I forced myself to play the kit as Neil had it set up. It took some time to get used to for sure. Now I love it. What's interesting is sometimes I can't bring this kit into a room that we might play at that doesn't have direct access to the stage. So, I'm at the final stages of bringing my "B" Set-Up, which will be on a fixed drum riser and is a 1:1 Replica of Neil's RED TAMA's. Now that's taking time to get used to again, with the Ride Cymbal being so far to the right.
Nice kit!
Uau, Congratulations from Rio-Brasil !
Why doesn't rush just hire this guy?
This guy is good, but what a ridiculous suggestion for Rush to hire him. Idiot
Amazing! Just Amazing! I’d kill to see Rush play just one more time. You’re band is fantastic! I would like to hear more Alex though. Bravo guys!!!!
Long time Rush fan, well done Gentlemen 👏🪄
Amazing! I have to ask, how long did it take you to learn to solo over that 3 note Ostinato? To me, that's the most amazing thing. Even The Professor himself said that it took him quite some time to become comfortable enough with playing that Ostinato that he could solo over it. I think drummers are the only ones to notice that Ostinato. I hardly ever hear non- musicians comment on it.
Danny, thank you for the nice comments. This is a work in progress Vince here I was reluctant to even do a drum solo within an Rush tribute because it’s just so personal so what I tried to do was play several of his elements from his drum solos over the years and stitch them together And really play it like a song as best I can so the answer question yeah, the 3 over 4 is always something I’m working on to try and smooth out.
Bravo my dude! Well done.
