Can't wait to see your reacts to the other 2 movies and the specials Legend of the Boneknapper, Gift of the Night Fury (both to watch between first and second movie) and HTTYD Homecoming (after the third movie) Little trivia: this movie series is made by Dean De Blois and Chris Sanders, also creators of Lilo and Stitch. As you can see, Toothless' design is very similar to Stitch's.

34:02 tbf killing the priests is a moment of liberation in the show because it represents Lestat destroying what the church represents for Louis (not saying it will fully free Louis of that Catholic guilt and all the ways it harms him). It’s definitely a gory scene and I understand feeling bad for the priests as individuals, but thematically at least within the narrative they deserve that death Lestat brings. Miss Lily did NOT though! I wish she was alive :( I think Lestat’s line at Paul’s funeral “Miss Lily proved to be a poor substitute” is quite telling of how he disposes of human life that doesn’t serve him bcuz…he’s a vampire. But I don’t assume that Lestat would violate the boundary Louis set about not messing with his family after that dinner, even if he did want Louis all to himself (the show is gothic romance & you’ve picked up on the toxic nature of love portrayed very well)

He killed Miss Lily because he’s a vampire. He killed those priests because he’s a vampire. He showed himself for what we was and was being honest with Louis. He’s a monster, but he loves him.

"I'm not sure how to feel about it" good!!! This show is a whole mess, everybody is morally grey, everybody is a hypocrite, everybody has a bias. It's a beautiful story and a horribly tragic story. Having complicated feelings about it is a good sign!

Since Paul's death happened at dawn/sunrise, wouldn't Lestat have been in his coffin? I get the kneejerk reaction to blame Lestat for Paul, but the pieces don't fit.

The "broom" issue is also attached to the "Mayfair Witches" another book that is part of the Vampire Chronicles. The MayfairWitches story crosses paths with the IWTV stories. There is character crossover throughout the Anne Rice books. Grace was upset with Paul at the dining table because of the reputation surrounding the Mayfair community. The series was filmed on location in New Orleans. The accents are authentic. Much of the supporting cast is from Louisiana. My advice is to refer to the books and not so much on the 1994 film to understand the story.

Different vampires possess different powers. Powers are also dictated by who their makers are. The older the vampire and their origins, the more powerful the vampire. Vampires who were part of the church in their human life are still somehow connected in their vampire life.

You have a lot of questions but you needs to listen to the dialogue to appreciate the series. This series is closer to the Anne Rice books. The 1994 film left a large portion of the story out. Daniels can indeed do research because there are important historical accounts that align with the story. Keep this in mind. I understand that you might not be familiar with American history or history of the American South. Louis' family was in the sugar cane business and had wealth. His father almost lost the family fortune until Louis got involved in the businesses in the area of Storyville.

Cursive was the norm until the increased use of the manual typewriter and then the electric typewriter , followed by computer keyboards. In school, years ago, students were graded on penmanship and grammar. Not many schools practice handwriting now, but I believe a handwritten letter is more personal and elegant than typing an email. I still prefer writing note cards and birthday greetings. It means more to the receiver that you took the time to put pen to paper for them.

I'm sure you're not going to stop making references to the originals or The Vampire diaries which is totally fine! Seeing parallels is okay... There is a bunch of reactors to this TV show who do the same... but I think it is important to mention that they are inspired by these vampires... So if you're finding similarities, that is why. These vampires were the blueprint for those vampires! The vast majority of modern vampire stories were based off of Anne Rice's vampires. A lot of them did make some changes to their vampire lore but ...the similarities are absolutely still there. But yeah this book series was written in 1973... So it's solidly the blueprint.

The writing is cursive when you write in print it is considered print but in cursive is considered writing. It will soon become a forgotten art. These are the same characters from the movie,Louis was by Brad Pitt while Lestat was played by Tom Cruise. The little girl in the movie was played by Kirsten Dunst. The series allows more of the story to be shown. Those were the days of lobotomies, shock treatment of was torture so they did better keeping their family member safe.

Its actually interesting how he doesnt kill the bad guys. Morally, he would be justified, but legally, especially as hes a black man, he kills them, he gets the fast track to the death penalty. The movie also shows nicely how skin color doesnt determine moral values.

A bit of advice ngl maybe youre not getting views is because your reacting to different shows instead of just watching one (not hating )

The music is so GOOD. Shame the writing kinda went the game of thrones route and usually dropped the ball when they ran out of the books’ material

Yeah, if anything, this episode shows how wildly incompetent the cops are in this show, because they only knew about the death Chambers caused in Miami, but not the woman he paralyzed from the neck down in Sante Fe or the off-duty firefighter he killed in South Boston.

The show gets darker as the show goes on

"What makes you think doing what they say will change their mind from killing you" - Well, he doesn't know for sure the stranger (Dexter) wants to kill him. Perhaps he wants money or something else ("else why didn't he killed me immediately?" he might think). Also, resisting at that point can mean he does decide to kill him then and there. He's also being held by a string on his neck in a vulnerable position, so he better wait to find a better opportunity to attack Dexter back.

Dexter is one of the most unique characters I have ever come across in any creative medium. Of course the actor is amazing. He was born to play the role.

I started watching this show back in the beginning of April took me about till the middle of June this year to finish it, loved every second, will be an ultimate fan forever, It’s quite the journey your about to go on if you decide to watch all 15 seasons, a lot of sad moments, a lot of good moments, and a lot of great and everlasting memorable moments.
