I noticed that too, it must be because of the new shows being promoted. Dexter original sin and dexter resurrection. The younger people are watching the original before the new one comes out.
3:58: Funny you should say that. How dare Catholic priests to do what they do to children (and have for over 1000 years) and then say a prayer (or pretend to speak for a non-existent deity). I hate people like that too.
As far as I understand, there are different degrees of psychopathy. And if the degree is extreme, like Dexter, you can't experience complex emotions based on social interaction, such as attachment, or guilt. Although I think they can be attached and regretful on an intellectual level. And of course they can experience animal emotions needed for survival, such as anger or fear.
guy at the begging didnt know dexter was gonna kill him lol all dexter said was "your mine now so do what i say" implying if he doesn't then he will kill him.
Hey, if you're a psychopath with uncontrollable urges to kill, then it's a smart move to learn how to catch them, so you don't get caught. It's one of those ones that gets better and better. It became one of my all-time favourites. However, some people were disappointed with the ending. But the mini-series _Dexter: New Blood_ gave it the finale it deserved. So if you make it till the end, don't forget to watch that.
10:05 When Dexter was leaving that crime scene, and said to Batista there's no blood so he's leaving... it's because he's a "blood spatter" expert. He truly wasn't necessary. No blood.. no job for him on that site. 👍
@@PopcornOpinions I thought so. And I like that I can see what you're thinking. If that makes any sense. Makes the reaction much more interesting. Really enjoyed this.
"What makes you think doing what they say will change their mind from killing you" - Well, he doesn't know for sure the stranger (Dexter) wants to kill him. Perhaps he wants money or something else ("else why didn't he killed me immediately?" he might think). Also, resisting at that point can mean he does decide to kill him then and there. He's also being held by a string on his neck in a vulnerable position, so he better wait to find a better opportunity to attack Dexter back.
yeah the way he catches his first victim in the show is extremely risky. if i was that guy as soon as i saw any other car or person i'd crash the car, then dexter would have to run.
It's explained much better in the books. He usually keeps them just on the verge of passing out. And if they even look the wrong way, say the wrong thing or anything like that. He'll nearly knock them out with how hard he pulls. Basically, it's do whatever he says or be knocked out, and he takes you anyway. I definitely agree that I wouldn't be a complacent little sheep who does nothing to escape. But at the same time, I can understand people being surprised, confused, and just looking for any way to live. Even if it's complying until you can figure out a way to escape without possibly offing yourself.
@@UnfitDevotee if dexter knocked him out while he was driving the car would crash, so if there's anyone around he'd have to abandon the kill. they obviously realized that after the pilot, which is why he never took anyone like that again.
@Jack_80 I think you give too much credit to a brain deprived of oxygen. I agree with you for the most part tho. But he doesn't usually make them drive the full way. Unless it is a couple minutes out to a place he chose that's secluded. I hope the author acknowledges it at some point. Would make an interesting side story. Though the new way they chose was also something a bit unrealistic as well. I still enjoyed its explanation.
Hi, stopped by because of Dexter. Would be possible to make yourself smaller, so we can see what you’re reacting to. That aside, your reaction is funny & natural. 🖤🌹🖤🧛🏻♀️
nah waiting and doing what they say buys you time to think how to get out of the situation 98% your fucked but could getaway with some smart thinking die now or give some time to think so you can get away
@drxcyclopessdrx3920 I think either way, the odds are high that you won't make it. I'm just thinking, do I just take the quick one or go and be at your mercy to possibly get tortured 🤷🏾♀️
The whole point of this channel is to watch movies/ shows I've never seen before, I like reaction channels so I opted to create my own. If the journey is one that people would like to join I'm grateful. If this is not something you are interested in, you can just click off and ignore it. Suffice it to say your statement makes no sense, but thanks for your engagement on the video 👍

This is gonna be one heck of a dark & compelling journey! I'm rewatching it for the 4th time I'll on season 3 now lol
Oww that sounds great if it's good enough to watch more than once I'm excited 😁
@@PopcornOpinions it's a pretty bizarre and compelling plot, with an excellent cast and damn good writers.

The music is so GOOD. Shame the writing kinda went the game of thrones route and usually dropped the ball when they ran out of the books’ material
