I did 100 of it with sawdust, only 7 survive.
My observation is that the richer the soil, the better the survival rate. I did with pure big manure that has turned to soil, under shade and the output was nice. These are issue we will be attending to in the coming months by God's grace. Don't give up. I tried for many years before I got here. Let me ask: what yam variety did u plant, and how old were you vines when you cut them?
Please what happened when you plant ☘️ a yam around May but most of them becomes a seed but very few get whole yams. Engr Abdullahi Garba Musa
@@musagarba5450 a lot of things may have happened. Size of seeds. Should be 250mg to 350mg, soil quality, then irrigation. And fertilization whether organic or inorganic
