What utter nonsense from the narrator. Though i like the misplaced voice. I have one of the nicer properties in the town and I'll be the first admit what an awful place it is. Its nothing like described here. The old school house is nothing really. If your idea of charm and culture is a load of aggressive dog loving chavs... this town is ideal. Now let's talk about Wellend Park Road and the drug dealers down the end in the flats and constant thefts from the supermarkets of which there are quite a few. It's a dive. Rhe market sells rubbish and is not thriving at all in fact its a waste of tax payers money as its a council building. Oh did I mention racism? It took 50 years for me to receive racial abuse in the uk....when I moved to MH!

Drugs ravage rushden and it’s a shame, I felt like I was in gangs of New York when I lived there, only because of the historical architecture and tight streets, else it would have been green street hooligans…

I absolutly love the mention of the cavalcade. Which hasnt run for atleast 6 years. Considering this video is 1 month old. The maker should have been aware that we now have the East Midlands Steam and Country show which is in now way connected to the cavalcade.

The inside of East Carlton Hall was both impressive and sad, earlier this year it was found to have been forcefully opened after being shut from 2020 onwards, and people kept going in to trash the place. It has no since been resealed.

I'm not sure but I don't think you live in Rushden, the town centre did used to be great as another comment said the town centre is dying the choice of shops is awful now unless you like nail bars or Turkish barber shops and the town has it's fair share of trouble and beggars ,you make it sound idyllic however the video itself was nice I have lived here for 55 years Rushden is declining year after year I so wish we could go back to the 80s

I live in Raunds not far from Rushden, while Rushden Lakes is great for shopping it can become busy very quickly, you will spend a lot of time queueing especially at weekends, be careful when leaving as the main roundabout is a hot spot for accidents. The countryside around many of the villages is stunning Rushden Lakes has killed much of the town centres in many of the villages

Local businesses thrive here...... Yes shops closing at a rate of knots, the high street dying, trouble with people running riot and litter everywhere..... Yes my town is thriving alright.
