Celebrating Our Little Girl's 4th Summer Birthday in Nagoya | Aquarium, Ferris Wheel & Family Time
Join us as we celebrate our daughter’s 4th birthday with a fun-filled day in Nagoya! From enjoying a family outing while my parents watched a baseball game, to visiting an aquarium and riding a fully transparent Ferris Wheel, this vlog captures all the special moments of her birthday week.
We started our day with a delicious meal at a famous Hitsumabushi restaurant (though my daughter and husband weren’t too keen on the eel!). Afterward, we decided to escape the summer heat and explore the aquarium-where our little girl’s imagination ran wild, thinking the fish were like characters from the Nemo movie. Despite a slight scare from a diver, she had a blast, especially with the Gachagacha mac...

Hello, my name is Kiki! Welcome to my channel and my first video documenting our exciting move from the bustling city of Osaka to the serene coastal town of Ine in Kyoto Prefecture. You owe no one an explanation. Your choice is wonderful. Have a great life ❤️!,,
Interesting, I am in the same situation, trying to convince my little city mouse of a wife to come with me to the Inaka..... Hope you will enjoy the quality of life. Anyway, Yamato and Shinaknsen are never far away. Thank you very much for sharing such an honnest experience.
It's so important to cherish your daily life! That makes up most of our days, so it's necessary to feel comfortable being with oneself and to care for one's own good. Very nice vlog, I'd love to see more of the positive selfcare! I also live in rural Japan so I feel this video haha!
Happy belated birthday to her! Time flies with kids. Family time right now is priceless for the memories. You are blessed to live in Japan, where it's so safe for children and great food safety. Looking forward to more vids!
I prefer subtitles in videos, but I understand those are difficult to write manually. There are AI subtitle services that will transcribe the video for you. You get the English, then use an online translator, then correct the Japanese (as the translator always makes mistakes). You're lucky that your husband (and you) can DIY - you will save so much money and be able to customize. However, I hope you can be patient - it's a long process, but worthwhile!
Renovating the house and moving are supposed to be the most stressful periods of your life. But it will be wonderful when it's all done! You can design / decorate it exactly how you like. I believe your family's health will be better in countryside because of the cleaner air and water. Congrats on the PR for your husband! It's every expat's dream. Visas are so stressful. I'm sure you know the feeling - never knowing if you'll have to leave the country. Moving companies in Korea and Japan are unique in the world - amazing service! I enjoyed the vlog! keep it up!
It’s definitely encouraging me to keep it up!! Thank you ✨
I love Bakeries, too. Although I have to be careful - some pastries are amazing, but some only look good but taste "meh". Shopping in Japanese cities are amazing. Although there is a lack of organic / foreign products, that is abundant in USA or Europe. Nice vlog!
Thank you so much for your comments! I appreciate you ✨ And yes there’s a problem (I think ) it’s hard to access to an organic product…
Where in Japan is this. I'm visiting next year and this is the kind of place I want to visit rather than Tokyo.
Ine, Kyoto prefecture 😊 Hope you visit Ine one day!!
Who cares!!! 😂 If you like eel then go for it. It makes you happy and you enjoy it... Who cares what the others think...
Did he find your phone? 😮😮😮
😉😉😉 thank you for watching!
Belated happy birthday 🎉🎉
Thank you so much 🥹
Please upload next video
I love Unagi, it was one of the most surprising foods I've tried in Japan, always thought I would hate it. It's now one of my favourites. Yes, expensive! Happy Birthday to the little one.
Unagi is really a unique Japanese cuisine for sure! And I’m surprised you love it!! Thank you very much ☺️✨
Awww. She is so beautiful and fortunate to have such loving parents. I love her straw hat! Gosh, I find Ferris wheels VERY scary, too. Happy birthday little one.
Thank you so much! So sweet of you to say🥹 I don’t think I can experience Ferris wheel anymore 🤣
Japan is all about small smart things: the slide 🛝 with rolls for easy sliding, the coffee maker with a glass so coffee wouldn’t splash on you, and especially small smart children 😍
Thank you so much ☺️✨!!
Happy birthday. She is so happy, so beautiful little girl.
Thank you so much 😭✨
Nothing should ever have a glass floor! I don't mind ferris wheels, but that would have ruined the experience for me as well.
It’s completely ruined 😂 I don’t think I can get into it anymore 😂!! Thanks for watching!!
The joy of a child's excited curiosity.
She’s a very curious girl 😂 Thank you for watching ☺️
Happy birthday to sweet kid 🎂🎉
Thank you so much 🥹
Wow I can't believe she's 4 already! Happy Birthday!!
I know it’s crazy right !!! Thank you Kris ☺️
Amazing video and the scenery's are incredibly stunning 🫶🏾🤗
Thank you so much 👍
I lived in Osaka Japan in 1982 I came as a Student Missionary from my University in Tennessee in the U S I have enjoyed you, and your husband's U-Tube channel's
Thanks! 🙏 1982 must have been so different!
I discovered your husbands channel last month! i recognized the fishing village :)
Oh, nice! The village is so unique that it’s easy to spot I think lol
Didn't know curtains reduced humidity in closets! Good to know!
It’s better than keeping the air inside I thought!! Maybe 😂! Thank you for watching!!
I like your new routine. Enjoy the countryside.
Thank you so much for watching!!☺️
Nice video . Watching from the Philippines..
Thank you for watching 😊!!
Thanks for the video! Your daughter seems so inquisitive--a very good trait! The dual language voice-overs are wlecome and are good language learning. The main problem you were having with the drill is that you were trying to use it high above your head. If you had it lower you would be able to get the right amount of pressure on it, so don't give up!
Thank you so much for the advice🥹!! And yes, I’ll be DIY Kiki someday 😆 lol
It was nice with both English in Japanese thanks
It was nice with both English in Japanese thanks
Thank you so much for the comment!! I’m glad you liked it 🥹
Yes, yes, and yes a great video, enjoyed all aspects of it, English-Japanese combo, humor, and the wild deer eating your garden...fantastic life you have 😀
I’m glad you enjoyed the video 🥹 It was a pure anger with that dear but it changed into a laugh after I created a video about it 😂 Thank you for watching!!
No, it was not annoying with you speaking English and Japanese, the more that can hear your stories the better. Both some what fun and frustrating with the dears, but I guess that every failure is a lesson to be learned.
That’s so true! I keep learning the way I should live in the countryside, it’s so different from where I grew up (in the city) I really appreciate the comment and the advice 😊
To keep the deer out a simple 12 Volt electric wire fence works well or a dog. Also for your voice overs, I think that is a brilliant idea. But maybe speak your Japanese at the same speed as your English and the Japanese sounds rushed. You have a lovely voice and it sounds really professional.. I am enjoying your channel. Gambatte!! 😊
Thank you so much for the advice😭!! I speak fast when I speak Japanese so it’s so true that it sounds rushed!! Gambarimasu!! Thank you 🥹
I appreciate the Japanese translation. ビデオはいつも面白いです。
ありがとうございます☺️ I’ll try to do that in every episode :)
Hat's off to you. It would take so much effort to film while you have a toddler to take care of and doing commentary both in english and Japanese.
Thank you so much for watching 😊!! I’ll keep trying to be better at it! 👍🏼
Great video but I also like it because of the Japanese following the English commentary, helps me with my Japanese studies.👍
I’m so happy to hear that!! Thank you for the comment ☺️ I really appreciate it!!
I decided to make this video with both English and Japanese voice overs. Let me know of it’s too annoying or if it helps you learn some Japanese lol 😂
I love the dual voice overs, arigato gozaimasu.
i like thank you!
You both have created a beautiful daughter. I have three of my own. My wife is from Nara.
Thank you very much for watching!! Please visit Ine one day! It’s a beautiful place 😊!!
Your choice of our music made our day! 🎻
What a great way to brighten your kid's day!
Thank you so much ☺️!!
Your daughter is so cute! I look forward to your future videos..
Thank you so much ☺️!!
😲😋
Hello! I saw your beautiful channel and subscribed. I was born in Japan but spent 60 years of my life in America. Soon I will return to Japan to join my sister, who never left Tokyo.
Thank you so much for watching ☺️ I would strongly recommend you to live in countryside ✌🏻!!
you are so patient with your daughter. Loving your content and looking forward to seeing more.
I’m not though 😂 That’s nice of you!!! Thank you so much ☺️!
Very nice! Been watching Danny as well. Keep up the good work. We live in the countryside by Iwakuni as well.
Thank you for watching! Is it the one in Yamaguchi? Please share some countryside episodes ✨
@@KikiinCountryside yes it is! I have multiple videos up on my channel if you wish to watch. If y’all wish to visit someday we have a place for y’all to stay!
Ah.. I dropped my brand new 6S Pro in Venice canal
That’s so sad! Well.. my situation was better because my phone wasn’t new lol 😂 Thank you for watching!!
I know all about moving, 7 times in 20 years... I got really tired with cleaning the new house so I organised contract cleaners to detail my new place of residence. And, then I fumigate the house with those cans of insecticide for fleas, spiders and cockroaches etc. I believe it was money well spent. As for your phone you can jump into the water and retrieve it at a later date.
Thank you very much for watching ✨ That’s crazy! I’m sure you hate moving more than I do!! About my phone, my husband is more curious to jump into ocean and look for it as Summer is almost here😂!!
Now that would make a good video post.
Definitely CAN relate. From Kyoto, we moved to Kyushu area☺️
That’s amazing!! Thank you very much for stopping by ☺️✌🏻
I am a new subscriber here.
Thank you so much!! Hope you enjoyed watching ✨
How long has your husband been living in Japan? I heard in this video he received permanent residency. My husband has been struggling with always receiving only 1 year haigusha visa which negates application for permanent residency (minimum 3 year visa term is required). He's been living with me in Osaka for 6 years and we been married for 9 years but he only receives the 1 year period of stay every time we renew and every time renew process is so tiring and makes me feel so stress. I'm curious how long your husband lived here so far and how you achieved the permanent visa. ありがと
I'm Kiki's husband. She asked me to answer the question: I've been in Japan 8 years, from the U.S. I too only received 1 year visas every year for about 5 years. Very stressful. After getting married I had applied for the spouse visa and got a 3 year visa and from the 3 year visa I applied for the permanent visa. Few things I learned about the visas: First, a good job is important. Also, working in the same job for many years is also important. Never skip or be late for paying taxes, pension and health insurance. If you are late paying or don't pay then these actions will impact the length and approval of your visa and it will also make the permanent visa impossible to get. They expect perfect payments for the past three years. So in short: Keep the same job, pay pension, health insurance and resident taxes all on time for 3 years and you should be fine. Good luck!
@@DIYJapan Thank you for your kind response! My husband has always been on that haigusha spousal visa and every time has only been 1 year period of stay for all those visa. We own our home and he has always had the same job (high salary) all these 6 years and we also have statistically very high savings (4千万円 something like that). He has also never missed any payments and always fulfill all social obligations such as nenkin and of course all city tax and income taxes on time. Perfect records. But still only receiving just 1 year every time. This will be our 7th year to renew spouse visa now and I'm really worried only to receiving 1 year again..... :( We are so stress and really consider to leave japan because its so unstable trying to live by only 1 years plan every time. :(
@@rw7939 I recommend you involve an immigration attorney. From your description, it sounds like you're doing all the right things. Maybe there is something missing. Or maybe need to apply at a different immigration office.
Please make some shorts while you're cooking, and add your insights about living in countryside :) I always love listening people's voice about inaka
I was thinking about making that kind of videos!! Thank you so much for watching ☺️🌿
