I wanted to upload the entire show, but the story, music, and script are copyrighted. As far as I know, this interview is in the public domain. I love period dramas, so I decided to create a fan video with pictures from some of my favorite movies and my favorite characters. The music is Boccherini: La Musica Notturna Delle Strade Di Madrid No. 6 Op. 30 from Master & Commander's soundtrack. I did not use the whole song, just clips. None of the pictures are mine. All rights are owned by the creators. Enjoy! Movies featured: Our Mutual Fr...

"Playmates" was written around 1940 by Saxie Dowell. This recording is from the soundtrack of the 2008 film "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl." I put pictures of children playing in the first half of the twentieth century to this cheerful song. No copyright infringement intended. All rights belong to the creators.

Side by Side Performed by the Puppini Sisters
Absolutely GREAT and MARVELOUS 👌
Beautiful ❤
Its also in the movie richly rich
It's funny how I first heard this tune in Hudson Hawk, which is sung by Bruce Willis and the late Danny Aiello. This rendition of this tune is great too
One of my Mom & Dad's fav songs, along with "Singin' in the Rain" (Gene Kelly) Both my favorites now too!
My Uncle loved this song I heard this back inthe 1940s
Sweet old song.
Quem canta na versão original
7:25 If only Disney today continued to follow that philosophy Walt.
Corrie ten Boom's body died in 1983. Only her mortal body.

Great rendition!! Sounds just like the Betts sisters!!
Who are the Betts Sisters? I tired looking them up, but I can't find their music.
I know this song because of Kit Kittredge. It's so catchy and gets stuck in your head. I love it 😍💞
My Nana and I used to sing this all the time, I am so thankful to have her in my life
Wonderful rendition of this song! Thanks!
I’m listening this during COVID while writing for my college’s online newspaper. 💕 Yes, I had Kit as a kid and still do somewhere. 😂
Oh me too girl! I got her when I was five, she was my first doll and always my favorite. This song gives me so much nostalgia from how much a watched the movie
Nice!

I love this song so much.
Richie Rich got me here.
Where would you find the actors that played this series and their time on the show? My father was on this and the TV show and I just want ted to show my own kids.
J. Peter Sommer, that is an excellent question. Unfortunately, I do not know of a place where all actors on "A Date with Judy" are listed. At the end of shows, actors' names are listed. OTRCAT sells "A Date with Judy" radio shows. I hope you can find the one your dad was on. Your connection with this show is amazing! Did he appear in many other radio shows?
"We'll never do Hamlet." Yeah, wait until The Lion King in 1994. -Mickey Mouse

This song was made in 1929... -_-
Me encanta :))
This song is in the Kit Kitredge An American Girl movie! I love the movie and this song and AG dolls!
I gotta admit that 2008 was the year of Kit Kittredge - not just because of the film, but for Christmas of 2008, I was in for one heck of a surprise when my father got me a Kit Kittredge doll for Christmas, along with her accessories and Holiday dress! He was at a holiday party and they had door prizes, and the Kit doll and stuff ended up getting won by my father. Lots of people were trying to buy the Kit doll off my father, and my father turned down all the offers. He KNEW I loved American Girl dolls.
great
My dad sang this to me while I grew up
and me - it's a "go to" memory for me
Lovely
LOVE THIS SO MUCH. THIS SONG. I LOVE. I heard it first from Kit Kitterage the movie.
The question isn't even 'Why dont they make music like this anymore'? The question should be, 'Why dont they make music anymore'?
