A ruined Stone Circle & Strange Lights at the End of the Millennium
A ruined stone circle with a tree plantation bored right through it.
On my first visit here 25 years ago I had some weird artefacts show up on one print photo, which really makes me wonder.
My gut feeling is they are artefacts from the camera or developing process, but the timing of it - sunset on the last day of 1999 - strikes me as meaningful.
Camera & More Details:
The camera was a Goldline A7 5000 mini.
I had used this for 2 years prior.
The film was AGFA HDC plus, 36 exposure.
The film had not expired; expiry date was around 2002.
I did not store films in the freezer.
Films remain in the container in the box until I place them in the camera.

A Visit to Dante’s Bridge (as featured in “This Town”)

I really connected with the character of Dante in the BBC series “This Town” by Stephen Knight. Loved the characterisation of this bridge, and had to visit. Here are some thoughts on his character, autism, and the bridge. The Christians observe the pagan calender
@@stellamariesmithson1431 Indeed, agree. My wondering was why would something Pagan be linking to the traditional received birth date and year of Jesus, and the calendar that’s not part of what we now call the Wheel of the Year.
Had my dna done on 23andMe and im 96% descended from one of the dorzet vikings and 36% from another.
@williammarshall12345 Amazing stuff. One day I’ll get around to checking mine. My ancestry goes back at least a couple centuries on one side to Dorset. Maybe further.
I live near Maiden Castle Hill Fort, which has some lovely views, but the views from the one you show here are absolutely stunning!
@@darrenscriven3963 it really is a hillfort for maximum reward for minimum effort. As for Maiden Castle, always feel like I’m coming home when I see it heading along the Dorchester bypass.
Looks like a lovely place.
Becuz the Christian calendar was made to reflect the pagan calendar! Also, call it paradolia if you like, but if u zoom into the lights photo there are numerous goulish faces trying to push through the viel. This is strange but is visible on most woodland screenshots. Many more people are getting on to this as a phenomena and a guy called renaissance man has done a good vid regarding this. Also Colorado bigfoot among others. W3ve lost our connection to the spirit dimension but the indigenous peoples (the ones who are often laughed at for their stories and view of the world) habe a lot to teach us imo. Cheers f't vid.
Its dripping water marks on the negatives. They were probably dried too quickly in a drying cupboard before they went through the print machine. I develop my own negs so I'm used to small imperfections. If you've got the negs still its easy to spot with natural windowlight. If you're lucky it might just wash off with distilled water (unlikely after this length of time) if you want reprints. The pale haze to the side of some shots is just a light leak. Sorry to burst your bubble, maybe literally.
@@iainmc9859 Not burst my bubble - probably didn’t have a bubble to start with 🙂 - I like the possibilities. Appreciate your comment and experience. My gut feeling is a product of the processing. The negatives are still around somewhere but heaven knows exactly where. Still, a remarkable synchronicity for the last photograph of the century / millennium.
Pretty useless without telling us where this stone circle is.

I always thought the same as you about the album epilogue until I wondered if it’s not meant to be a continuation of the story but more of a “imagine if it happened now….” Epilogue.
Thanks so much for sharing your walk and making it so much easier to follow in your steps.
Nice place but had to mute the background music, Horrible .
Eurovision was my special interest from 2017 until the cancellation of the 2020 contest diverted my attention elsewhere; so, basically all of high school except my freshman year. I followed the 2018 and 2019 contests front to back, and remember camping out in my parents' bedroom to watch the former. I participated in a lot of online spinoff contests with other eurovision fans and discovered new music through those. Yet what's really strange about that time in my life was that I was deeply into pre-2000 contests, especially the late 80s and early 90s. 1987 was my favorite year (also really liked 1986, 1988, and 1991), and Yugoslavia (!) my favorite overall country, though I was also a great fan of the Scandinavian countries, particularly Norway and Iceland. Strangely enough many of the Eurosongs I listened to back then still appear in my spotify rotation today...
@@Sammeep02 Great to hear! I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the politicisation in Eurovision and trying to work out how how I separate that from enjoyment of the music, especially if things continue the way they look for 2025… anyway, time will tell!
Yeah, I'm kinda glad I left before things got too political. Politics and entertainment don't mix, especially since the latter is a great way to take your mind off the former. On the other hand, if we could send things to our younger selves, I would have lost it if I'd seen that Luxembourg would return this year.
remember the safety dance video.. and at the end ,, of the video.. he looks up , it flashes three images, of missiles. rockets.. is it safe to dance?

Thanks for this interesting local video. To any1 slightly confused the road referred to as the Telford Rd has his constructions along it leading to the original Thomas Telford suspension bridge across the Menai Straits, an engineering marvel off it's day!.
Cool that you credit Louise Court. She was at one time editor for UK Cosmopolitan mag. A lot of people think she is saying "and sing!" but you correctly identify the French word for dance. Lovely video, great song, great memories. Where has time gone...
