Thanks for this interesting local video. To any1 slightly confused the road referred to as the Telford Rd has his constructions along it leading to the original Thomas Telford suspension bridge across the Menai Straits, an engineering marvel off it's day!.

Cool that you credit Louise Court. She was at one time editor for UK Cosmopolitan mag. A lot of people think she is saying "and sing!" but you correctly identify the French word for dance. Lovely video, great song, great memories. Where has time gone...

this (the stones under the trapdoors, the yew) has just come up in the book i’m reading! “Walking the great north line” by Robert Twigger. it was 99p on Kindle this week.

This is my local prehistoric site, & such a shame it is in such a state of neglect. I visited today & its barerly recognizable with so much overgrown ferns & bracken. The woods are lovely, & most interesting of all are stones at the far west of the woods, further towards the m6 past the barrow. The paths lead up to them just inside the woods at the far end. I've counted at least 9 large stones close to each other with numerous scattered small stones. Like you say, field clearance of what....?

Saw Men Without Hats perform in Atlantic City New Jersey Last night. Part of an 1980’s music festival- they were great and so full of energy! Safety Dance was one of the highlights of the show! I love that song and that video. Thanks for this really cool location video! Really enjoyed it!

St Seriol's well is one of my favourite places. It has a very special atmosphere of calm and peace.

Visually this place reminds me of nine springs in Yeovil. Nine springs is a gem in what's a pretty grim town. I doubt there's any history behind it but it's worth a visit if you passing through.

Nice one Tim - it's been on my radar too but have yet to make it there. It sounds like one to linger around or even dip in. Not sure if you know St Issui's Church at Partrishow in the Black Mountains. It's worth a visit with a lovely well down below. One of my favorites. This is amazing and yes, like you I really love it. The ancient Yes tree is absolutely gorgeous within and without! Wow! Interesting how the church built over the stones yet respected them enough to provide hatch doors to view and leave gifts of honouring on! The town and it's Minister must be interesting or at least have interesting stories about it collected over time.Wish Canada wasn't so costly to fly from!

Hello From Central Kentucky. I remember “The Safety Dance” quite well and always enjoyed hearing the song and seeing the video back in the early days of MTV. The weird thing about seeing all of the dry masonry fences and countryside is that the landmarks could very easily have been filmed around the area where I live here in Kentucky which had its fair share of Scott’s-Irish people that settled this area even before Kentucky was a state. Thanks for your very nice video.

This was fantastic! The "Safety Dance" came out my junior year in high school and I remember all of us having a wild time dancing to it at our junior prom. Great to see the original location of what is by any standards a bizarre & unique video!

Excellent work my friend ,, from a fellow film location "spotter" lol. Im so glad your video popped up because i am heading down from Doncaster this week to pay homage myself to The Safety Dance location. With your help iv more or less got an idea where to aim for,, just a quick 1 tho,, that gate they dance infront of thats been replaced,, is that between the house with the post box and the farmyard cos i cant seem to locate it on street view . Is it obvious on the main road thru the village or on a spur road. Just that bit of extra help much appreciated. , as i want to get this right as its a 500 mile round trip from my house lol.

After work at Walmart I don’t want to do anything forever and ever

Three sort-of related things (1) Not been to this site yet but from the thumbnail guessed it was in the same general area as the Rollright stones. (2) When you said listen to the birds I could hear a very loud thrush… which turned out to be in my back garden, not on RUclips. (3) Day after bank holiday Monday we were in Yorkshire and I saw Rudston on the map near to where we were staying so we visited the absolute whopper in the churchyard there. What a huge megalith.
