I’m 12 and I’m decent but not that good.
Terrible sketchy conditions and you took Elise, who seems to be an advanced beginner into the Big Couloir, she’s tremendous, very sure-footed but clearly still a long way from being an expert. So mom, dad you be proud. Think many I know, me included who can likely ski better than Elise at this stage, wouldn’t have made it through that narrow mogulled hard-pack traverse to the drop in ! Awesome video, inspiring, congrats to Elise and her mentor on the GoPro. Great stuff.
Did you seriously just call her an advanced beginner?? Advanced beginners don’t go within a mile of a run like that 🤦🏼♂️
I'm proud of her and I don't even know her. Good job, Elise! 😊
This looks incredible. Must try it soon.
I've seen the this couloir from the bottom many times. My hearts pounding watching these guys drop in.
kind a intermediate skier ... she's picking up her skis for turns... SKI IT... but .. she's only 12.
Amazing. And part of what might be lost in this is the challenge of just getting from the tram to the top of the Big Couloir. I've skied Big Sky twice and had the pleasure of watching people ski this, but I wouldn't get near it. 😱
Amazing, where is this
She's dang good !! I skied Sun Valley with Picaboo Street when she was 14 this Elise Is Not Far Off Yikes !! Another Schiffrin ?? 🙏
What’s even more impressive is the conditions don’t look very good
......"when a TGR employee goes on a tinder date"
Hell to the naw!
The entry looks harder than the couloir!
If I hear another jake shout out ‘you got it’, I am going to puke. I have come across too many skiers in way over their head, endangering themselves, and other. Wedge turns in this couloir indicates that this skier needs training.
Many technical problems with her skiing; not wise to just say “a looking good”.
Great job. I like the way you skied that. No scraping your way down. Just turn turn turn. Do you think if you kept doing the BC the fear factor would disappear and you'd actually attack it ? How awesome to do it together!
We were there last week. We just looked up at it 😂
She's skiing as well or better than he is
a bit overrated on the diamonds... thats equal to a single black rated run at Whistler. Corbet's Couloir at Jackson or Air Jordan or DOA at Whistler are triple blacks.
This is 50 - 55 degrees, the steepest run at Whistler is 49 - 40 degrees. Corbet's Couloir is 40 degrees and usually a decently sized cornice at the top. Air Jordan and DOA are about 50 degrees. And not all places use the Triple black / Double black ex ratings, allot of places don't use double blacks and sometimes have Triple blacks even.
Yo i live here in kid sky. What side of the mountains are u on?
Fathers very proud moment . Congrats to both of you
LOOK AT THOSE PIZZA TURNS GO! PIZZA! fries fies fies feis PIZZA!
Classic Montuckey Sketch,......
I did this when I was 12. It’s pretty hard, nice job.
3:40 avalanche city
What a beautiful run, conditions look excellent
Sounds pretty nice Both times i been there couloirs weren't opened
Cameras never do these trails justice do they.
Awesome. That's some steep shit! Made it look easy!
Too much standing around. Just ski the run.
My legs are burning just watching this video. That's so long!!!
Really tired of watching videos of kids who can ski way better than me.
Excellent job Elise. Excellent encouragement by the coach. My palms were sweating just watching this.
Great job, Elise! Took my son, Pierce down it a few months after he turned 11! It was clear that even I’d done it several times a long time ago, that he, like you, was fearless ⛷🚀
Kid had an Alta sticker on her helmet. Of course she could nail that run!
Sick Mtn
Nice run, the approach looks worse than the hill lol. Kudos for taking your kid with you.
Wow she goes right in and sends it! I’ve watched a few of these videos now, and I’ve mainly seen grown men standing at the top hesitating for almost a minute. Great job!
Way to go, Dad. She's got this.
Most Gopros make even the triple blacks look easy, but this one still looked appropriately horrifying to pull off.
You said it correctly. " Horrifying".
So can you imagine what it is like in person!! So beautiful though. I would definitely do it.
I bet Whistler Couloir is still steeper then this.
@@Mrseriousdude "Whistler Couloir" is 49 - 40 degrees and the run in this video is 50 to 55 degrees so this is steeper.
idk where you got your stats from but you are wrong lol
It's a shame, I think the only thing that would keep me from skiing this is fear. Meaning, I think I'm capable but if I got really scared I wouldn't be skiing it properly...and it might cause me to crash.
Id like to know who takes the pisten bully down that road and cuts the path in. I used to groom back in the day and that is some hard core exposure for a machine. I wonder if it is winched / cabled up somehow when the groomer cuts that road in.
It has never been groomed and never will be groomed🤣
Nice editing at the end
kids are amazing when you start them young. when i looked up at this run i thought “no way”. but this is inspiring !
Cameraman skiied that very nice. Awesome snow .
She has a good survival turn. Maybe a bit too much for her.
She is so close to getting her turn perfected. Once she does she will be an amazing skiier. Do you have a video of the way she skiis today.? 5 years later?
c dawg Kai is the best young skier with out a doubt
She does make it look easy. Not much hesitation on her part. Way cool!
40%?
50
skied it way better than that "extreme ryan" kid. great job!!
Why do you have to make a comparison between kids?
