i have the same unit, it works but does not pump enough cfm's. just not putting out enough cfm"s. the reason i know this i have had it 3 years and it does not perform the same.

I want to bypass the breaker to implicate it or exonerate it.

Hello there, I have just started the search for information to fix my air compressor Makita AC1300. Your film is the first one that I have come across. Can you help please. The problem I have with my compressor is that it will not restart after it has run low of air. It will start from the beginning with no air in the tank and build up to the required pressure. But once the air as depleted down to a lower level it struggles to restart. It just turns over slowly and does not restart. If the air is completely emptied from the air tank it will then restart. I have had the compressor for some years.!I bought it off eBay and it was only a matter of months old. It was stated that it was an ex display model ??? It may be better if I take a film of what I'm saying is going on with the machine. If I upload it onto RUclips I can then let you know the link. Might be can be for other people to repair their machine with the same problem. Do you think it might be some pressure valve or sensor. Thank you for any help. Kind regards, Daniel King.

Hung a new cold start valve in mine finally and found mine was doing exactly the same thing. Truth is 3 months in mine has never been right.

I had the same problem both the things for the top turn out to be the electrical cable to the wall was not strong enough to handle it so we kick it off. Try bigger power. Wire.

I broke my tibial plateau on 2/11/23 fall from second step of a ladder. 2 metal plates and 12 screws.Almost a year later i still can't straighten my leg. My questions to you. Can you straightening your leg all the way?I hope you are doing well!!!!

Had a company one just like this. 1) Plug source close to outlet. 2)Reed valves are of weak material & fail. 3)Our(my)fix was drain oil and put trans fluid in it. Operated our's maybe 20-30 hours. Then sight glass broke/ then replaced it. My opinion ----------I believe the clearances are to tight.

I have hold the brass button slightly down to get my to turn over…. Maybe it was built backward…. Will try the pressure switch

Thanks for sharing your story. I fractured my tibia plateau after a 3ft fall on 1/7/23. My fractures look almost the same as yours. My knee was dislocated so my 1st surgery was an external fixation device for 2 weeks to straighten my leg & allow the swelling to go down. 2nd surgery 1/20/23, 2 titanium plates & a dozen screws. Started PT 4 days later, 90 days non weight bearing. Went back to work in June, was doing good, therapy every day, slowly getting better, but 2 months ago started getting severe pain, turned out to be nonunion of bone, bone cavity, required 3rd surgery, bone graft, another titanium plate, more screws. So 9 months, doc keeps telling me a full year to recover. How’s your recovery going? My pain is usually only when I’m weight bearing or if I do too much during the day.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know I watched your video, and I had the exact same air compressor, giving me the exact same problem. I figured out what it was. If you are able to, and have the ability to do it. you can pull the cooling fan blade off , remove the End housing and separate the rotor and stater. if you sand both of them with sand paper or use an emery cloth. And put it back together it will work. I did it just because I wanted to know what the root cause was myself. I was expecting to throw it away and get a new air compressor. When I put it back together it worked perfectly immediately. All you need is slip ring pliers to remove the cooling fan and an 8 mm socket and wrench.

Wouldnt the vibration cause the breaker to eventually fail?

Mines tripping at 40 psi

I had to replace my electric pressure regulator switch and it'll pump up fine but when it get down to 90 psi the motor tries to cut back in but it'll trip the breaker everytime. I can let all but 15 psi in the tank and turn it back on and the motor will start up but it won't hit the high speed that it does and it'll trip that way also. Is the motor wore completely out or is it the coil?

Just changed the start up valve and the 15 A reset switch. No change. On an empty tank, it comes on instantly and hits 125, shuts off. Use the gun and drop the pressure and it Will Not restart until you empty the tank. Update cahanged the capacitor, restarts when the pressure drops......mostly

Thank you for your video! I had tibial plateau fracture 1.5 months ago - also from a skiing injury! I had surgery 4.5 weeks ago, and am recovering and probably won’t be weight bearing for another 6 weeks. Your video is so helpful and encouraging to me! I hope your recovery is going well!

this model is picky Must be plugged into wall outlet Ext cords and cold weather causes it to trip and not start up. I moved mine to heated basement and it never trips the Breaker anymore :D Good vid cheers

Good job on your video. Happy to hear what great care you received from everyone involved. Great images! Your experience in the hospital was much better than mine I'm surprised you were able to make a video so quickly. I made one as well. I'm a year and 1/2 out from my TPF and so very grateful to God and family and friends that helped me recover. God speed with yours. it's a very long road but in the end you will feel blessed everyday that you are walking again.
