Papal states is playable with mods, although you can do it with Vanilla with "control papal_states" command, but it's not recommended though

few weapons don't get any visual changes such as Peasant's Farm Tools and Pike Weapon which is a bit shame. the most noticable changes is Spear and Halberd, Sword and Axe does change too although it's hard to notice

i don't play on mobile anymore since my device is poorly optimized. and yeah unfortunately no mod support for mobile... yet

Thank you ❤️ Medieval 2 Total War is my personal all time favourite game, and most people too (i guess). the game still have consistent number of players despite being a 18 years old. it was arround that time when the devs (Creative Assembly) really put more love into their work and that's why most people appreciate it

The game us awesome but it crashes very easily for mongols and timurids which are a big part of the game so kinda dissapointing at the part you look forward the most if you play in the east

For medieval 2 mobile, you can play papal states using console commands "control papal_states" If you are playing on PC, you can edit the descr_strat and place papal states into playable faction, but IMO it's better to play as them in modded campaign such as Stainless Steel 6.4

How do you activate console command on mobile?

When in campaign map, Tap and hold both the Map icon (Top Right Corner) and The Lady Instructor portrait (Top Left corner)
