Something tells me that he will save her. I feel like they will have the moment start like in the og game, but then when cloud is being controlled he will have a flashback(or forward I guess) of when he saw aerith dying and then remember when sephiroth said "seven seconds. Time enough for you perhaps. But what will you do with it." and break out of the mind control and slash at sephiroth(I kind of think that what sephiroth wants this time around). But I think this will play right into sephiroth's hands in some way because he doesn't want her to die since he now knows she'll cast holy when does dead

Although, It's kinda between Posibble and Impossible. But I'm still rooting for it! Their reunion are so beautiful 🥰 I felt happiness when I was watching their moments.. I've been shipping kinda a few ships that I love so much. Of course I'm shipping so many ships...but there are only 3 ships that I adore so much!
