We don't eat tendons. And especially not in çiğ köfte. Etli çiğ köfte (çiğ köfte with meat) look for recipe on YT. Tendons are used only in ayak paça soup and just for the collagen they provide. And u should put some lemon on the çiğ köfte as well darling.And dont eat okras from can. U must cook it fresh.

They should never have fitted the back panel like that. Better off to have ripped it into 3 same sized pieces, at least then you would have had two silver strips equal and it would have looked nice regardless the colour of the panels. They found 2 young people and pulled the wool over your eyes and worse of all you accepted it and paid for it. You paid for a cowboy job to be done.

I have refurbished over 15 bathrooms over the past 30 years, all look like spa 5* hotel bathrooms. I would have sent them away the day they came with that panel. It does look brown and looks awful. They spoilt the whole look of your bathroom. Also l would have killed them with that back wall joint and put a silver trim in it. If they had to do that they should have butted the two peices of panels together as tight as possible and put a clear silicone down the joint. And l put money on it, it would hardly been noticeable. Now l know not to do refurbishment with Victoria plumbing. They took you for two mugs and fed you garbage and did what they wanted. That job is not acceptable. I would be sueing them. Or make them come back and change those panels free of charge.

You need to try the Malmaison at Brighton Marina and book a room with a balcony and view of the Marina :)

I stayed there in 2020 and had a room like that with a seaview and it was very pleasant! Yes its shabby and tired but I paid £60 for two nights lol :) Had a great time :) Dog loved the beach as well. I didnt touch the food ordered from Uber Eats instead.

We often stay at the Grand Burstin and we stayed there last Friday night, as a stopover on our way to Spain (ideal for getting an early run through the tunnel) and, at £39 for a twin room, we have no complaints. This time, we had a harbour view on the seventh floor. The lifts were, as usual, all working. There's signs to tell you which lift does which floor, you just have to read them. Clean rooms and comfy beds were the usual order of the day. Why no mention of the evening entertainment? Last Friday night we watched good cabaret artists, performing to a 60's theme, followed by karaoke which was a relaxing and enjoyable evening. If you want higher standards, go elsewhere and pay the price.

I stayed here in november for four nights with my husband at the Holiday Rock weekender we had no problem parking and only a short wait at reception you register your car reg and pay a parking fee. The lifts were all in working order we were on 6th floor and had a sea view room with Balcony the rooms were being renovated ours was spotless no issues at all best nights sleep ive had in years .the Breakfast was nice no issues there the only issue in the ladies on one side the cubicles are to small unless that your a size 8 other side better clean .the bar lounge nice with tvs .you can get a lunch in there ..only issue there was guests not closing the doors as with leaving them open was letting the cold air from outside notices put on door as staff were feeling it to.but were back in april and looking forward to our stay again.its 100 times better than the norbreck castle in Blackpool and Adelphi in Liverpool.

We stayed over 20 times no problems with sleeping ??

1 year on - How is the bathroom holding up

Well don't know were to start, I can assure you firstly on arrival you done very well to get out of underground car park people who know the place advice avoid at all cost strange things have been know to happen down there, as for the checking you would get more since in faulty towers on a bad day totally unpredictable start to sort break something like out of a carry on film, that done here comes the lift experience great if you know the combination on what floor the lift stops on, as the lady in lift feeling quite proud of herself telling you she had been here before wonder how many times before she worked combination out, as you both got out of lift she probably had smug little smile knowing the other lifts were not in working order,

You know U can buy toilet seats that don’t slam right? lol they close slowly look it up

I'm really surprised that they don't do the side panel equal to the size of the bath so that you don't have to have that strip in there. That would have been a deal breaker for me. Great transformation though!

Bottom line you get what you pay for. A average B+B costs £80 a night. The rooms are hit and miss but 619 is fantastic, and the view is worth the stay alone. £42 a night when I stayed with breakfast and dinner included. Bargain.

I live in Folkestone not far from the burstin hotel and I'm sorry you had that experience it has been falling into decline for many many years and when the Britannica company took over they left it to rot but should you ever return to Folkestone there are other beautiful hotels up on the leas that are historic and very beautifully preserved which I'm sure you would belove

I’ve been in a situation like this, at a hotel in London, thankfully just the one night, before onward travel. It had uncomfortable hard beds, too hot and the underground station next to it 😫. I was with my children too. We tried to sleep on the floor it was so bad! I ended up wandering the corridors and begged the receptionist for some solution. They found us an abandoned creepy basement room with a slightly softer bed that was a bit cooler.

I would stay there , the bathroom is like a one man band I always get up in night so would wake the better half up

Those who are 60 years and older may well remember the beautiful Royal Pavilion Hotel which graced this site, before it's sad destruction to make way for the utterly appalling Grand Burstin hotel. I stayed at this dive one night 10 years ago in advance of an early morning Dover ferry. The pitiful 1970s decor, rough-looking traveller-type guests and the general atmosphere of staleness made it only one notch up from sleeping in a public convenience. How town planners allowed this defies all understanding - I can only think that large brown envelopes played a significant part. I seriously hope it gets pulled down sooner than later. It's a shame that being the age you both are, you can't have the experience I did of Folkestone in it's hey-day. I holidayed there as a child for numerous long summers in the 1960s. It was a stylish world apart and dare I say a magical place - which I fear is all but gone.

Better matresses are all that's needed. Take a topper and a small hoover, and give it a spruce up. From 5 star to 1 star? Lets hear what Jim Morrison had to say. 'Five to one baby, one in five. No one here gets out alive, yeah. You get yours baby, i get mine. Gonna make it baby, if we try'.

Stayed at the Burstin in 1984 when it first opened the new building. It wasn’t good then but you did get a free day trip to France. We were there for a week but was mainly coach tours at that point

Yes helping the environment and most importantly an animal doesn't have to die for your meal. Also I don't think the lack of fullness was the lack of animal but they are low calorie meals. So on that note it's hard to recommend allplants.

Hinlove I'm new to channel me and my hubby stayed at the burstin in the mid 90s we went with a coach firm we were using the place as a b and b it was the cheapest way as we went to seen relatives in Ashford the rooms were OK but the dining room was a shambles we had the queue up and was herded in like sheep w When a table got free the whereon who was showing us what table to go too was just saying you you over there showing us an empty table we only had evening meal 2 nights the night we got there and the one before going home we had breakfast and that was the same routine .I called it acattle market

I live local but stayed there on New Years Eve 2019 with family. It was cheap and uncomfortable, but we had a surprisingly good night. I even enjoyed the buffet dinner and breakfast. But the mattress wasn’t awful, the room smelled of smoke, it was busy, and we had to walk the stairs like you. We’ve not stayed there since but did go back once for dinner and bingo
