APEX now includes a new source option for integrating random emitting sources into optical system models. This feature is found on the Sources tab and can be used to insert emitting disk and rectangle sources into a system. Defined as SolidWorks parts, source size, position, ray direction, ray numbers, flux, and emission characteristics can be specified by the user.

All photometric plot types produce a multi-valued distribution file, for which users can plot Tristimulus X, Y and Z values, and Chromaticity x and y values.

    Thank you for this demonstration. Question: seeing as it is possible to make an 85mm f1.4 lens, would it theoretically be possible to make a zoom lens of 24-85mm with the same f1.4 aperture?

      Answer: Yes of course SYNOPSYS can make the zoom lens of 24-85mm with the same f1.4 aperture.
