@@StevetheTechBro No problem! Just search "subwoofer crawl method". Essentially what you do is put your subwoofer on your sofa where you usually sit when you watch movies. Then you RUclips "bass sweep test" and play the sweep while you crawl around with your head at the level that your subwoofer is at when it sits on the ground. I don't actually crawl around, I just play the sweep with my head at floor level in all of the various places that I could put the subwoofer. Wherever the bass sounds the best while you do this is where you want to put your subwoofer. It will make a gigantic difference-You're going to be blown away! Let me know how it works out for you.

Well it’s a townhouse and I lucked up because the wall aren’t paper thin. And before my neighbors moved in, while the guys was fixing up the house they let me step into their home as I blasted my system to see if I heard anything and shockingly I heard nothing 🤷🏽‍♂️🤔🤔🤔

@@StevetheTechBro OK thanks, here in the UK most floors are wooden, so you can imaging the disturbance just one subwoofer would do, hence when I bought my new place I insisted that it must have concrete floors, I have not set up my 3 x 12" Klipsch subwoofers in my proposed 7 . 2.3 Klipsch Atmos set up, but your tip about asking the neighbours if they can hear is brilliant, that way I know what levels to set the volume for day and night time use. That’s the plan, the wife and I aren’t taking any trips this year to be sure we save the maximum amount of money we can to get this home. That’s the ultimate goal for us.

Yeah I want to do that with my height speakers as well does it sound better? What brand do you have and is in on the ceiling or hanging height sort of. And I agree with you as well I’m getting a 77 inch soon and in order to clear my front stage I’ll have to put it about that high as well.

I couldn’t agree more, that’s why I started just to let people know you don’t have to be a millionaire to have a good home theater for yourself. It’s truly about what you love and like about your own space.

Yeah I’m about to update grade to an 77 inch C3 at some point this year.

Which Sonys speakers are you talking about the elite Sony speakers. Because if you’re talking about the SSCS3 tower speakers then you can’t be serious, but to each its own. I owned them for years yes their budget friendly and they sound good but their way to small compared to the bigger brands, they don’t set at ear level.

@@MK-rn2hm I’ve never had a complaint, the sound proofing where I stay is very good. I’ve never heard my neighbors since I moved here unless they’re out front of their townhouse. I’ve even tested it out once while the old neighbors moved out, the guys came to fix until the unit next door for the next neighbors. So I turned my system up very loud and they let me go next door with them and I didn’t hear a thing. I lucked up here to God be the glory!

I to have an older Oled I current have the 65 inch CX. But I’ll be upgrading to the 77 inch C3 over the summer. I believe the C3 has DTX S pass through as well.

@@StevetheTechBro That will be awesome. My TV is merely an entry-level Samsung edge lit LED. The 77 inch LG OLED back when I bought this 75 inch Samsung at the end of 2018 was four times the price and out of my realm! I would for sure consider going back to LG for my next TV.

@@kovalveli I couldn’t agree more as far as it working for the Xbox. One thing I can say about Xbox they may haven’t gotten the game department running right as of lately. But Xbox for darn sure have been making sure that all other fronts have been working right especially the sound. I don’t know if it’s just me but Xbox streaming sound seems a lot louder than any other streamer I’ve ever used.

@@StevetheTechBro I do remember going back and forth watching some content on Apple TV app between my LG tv and XSX , with Xbox directly connected to my Q990b soundbar, it sounded a bit better on the Xbox. I can only imagine the difference with DTS:X compered to standard low bitrate Atmos.

Agreed I just excited that we finally have the option at this point. And I’m guessing it should because dts x files are bigger but like you said we’ll see

@@StevetheTechBro SVS Sub PB-1000 w/ the Elevations sound fantastic, this Single Sub its so clean and powerful I could add a second one if I wanted to but this just makes it feel like it’s unnecessary at least for me and my space.

I can honestly say do what’s best for your home theater. If Atmos isn’t important to you right now that’s perfectly fine. In the end you happy to be happy with your sound. I say get it when you’re ready no rush Atmos isn’t going any where just yet. There’s plenty of 7.2 even 5.2 avrs that sound great without Atmos. And when you’re ready to get a new receiver just make sure it’s future proof and has all the bell and whistles. Thanks for watching my channel, and I’m always happy to give feedback back thanks!
