Grace Benchmark WOD
First go at the female benchmark WOD Grace, consisting of 30 Clean & Jerks at 135# male Rx.
Honestly wasn’t sure how this would go. Lately it feels like I’ve just been beat up physically & mentally. But I knew I would get through it & push myself while still putting up a decent time for my first attempt. So I didn’t really have an excuse. Being tired or out of it isn’t an excuse to not go & try. At the end of the day even if it wasn’t the best time it was still a good workout & sometimes the real gains are not in the gym but in the act of going when you don’t feel like it.

3 min per round 4-5-6-7 Wall-Walks 50 Dubs Max Reps Wallballs in remaining time. Zero rest programmed. Struggled at first hitting the target on the Wallballs, not from lack of height just getting the right push to hit & bounce off. Pretty solid workout, definitely a shoulder pump workout. Humble Pie never tasted so good. 🥧 😋

Popeye EMOM 50-55-65-70-75% Deadlifts 225-245-295-315-345 (Not exact percentages however felt good so went a few pounds higher for easy public mathing) Minute 1 15-12-9-6-3 Dead lifts Minutes 2 8-10 Strict Pull-ups Minute 3 75 Dubs I enjoyed this one, averaged about 50 Dubs each set. This is the one I was worried about. Only finished all 19 of the reps at 185. That may not seem like much, however during the warm up I couldn’t even clean a single rep at 185. 2024 CrossFit Quarterfinals Workout #3 20 Time Cap 3 Rounds 50Wallballs 20# 10ft Target 50 Lateral Burpee Box Jump Overs This was brutal. Definitely a grind. The one I was least working forward to. This was a good one, the 155# Power cleans really added up but for me my biggest struggle was the double unders. I always seem to either do them really well or really poorly. But either way even though I capped the time by about 24 seconds it was still a good push. Could have saved time if I didn’t mess with my barbell as much as I did & even grab someone else’s. My clips just kept coming loose...

Annie benchmark WOD 50-40-30-20-10 Double-Unders Ab-mat Sit-ups First ever go at Annie. Definitely can work on faster transitions & going unbroken on the Dubs. Shoulders didn’t have any issues or pain which is good. Usually Dubs light up my deltoids but this felt good. Will give it another go in the future, always striving to get better.

Not to be that guy, but unfortunately the Workout Notes state you have to start each round with your back to the barbell and you have to hold the dumbbells at your sides for the step-ups.... Nice job though either way!!! 👍
