Another Great Veteran owned bourbon is Horse Soldier, especially their Limited Edition 80th D-Day anniversary bottle that they CLS dropped out of an aircraft during the rehearsals for the D-Day jump for the ceremony.

Got one from my go to store and it is my first DO from 13th colony. It is amazing, and it is easy to drink, but I feel it shines when I add a few drops of water. And yes, the smell fills a room. I am drinking it very slowly and my wife is like”. Oh my God, I can smell that from all the way over here”. Yeah! I go back between the DO and the 15th anniversary and I cannot make my mind which I like the most.

I can typically find these EC and Larceny Batches, anywhere from one to two months after their release, here in the Los Angeles area. I am tempted to go and grab the C924 where I know I can get it right now. 🤔 Sounds like I should!

KC stay in my collection and rotation. 120 proof and Rye are winners. After that it's Old Forrester then Heaven Hill lineup.

I know this is a budget review... but it is 100% worth the extra cash to get the Knob Creek 12.

Obviously I'm not blinding, but I'd probably go with the way you had them: JJB, KC9, HMcK, and Coopers. I could see me wavering between KC9 and HMck.

Nice review. I have the Small Batch Peerless and the Single Barrel. Love both. My top doubles currently are Crittenden's and Pursuit United.

Peerless is great stuff but you are spot on…. Very expensive. Wish it was 10-15% cheaper. Double oaks are awesome.

I haven't had the rye, but the Bourbon is fantastic. Sweet mash just means that they use a new strain of yeast in that batch as opposed to using one from the previous batch. That would be a "Sour Mash". Either way, Peerlesss is doing good thing! Thanks for the review guys!

Can some one give me a note on the finish other than licking a fresh tire? I REALLY like this bottle but the ending notes as I swallow taste like rubber. I need a different note to switch my brain too 😂

Fortunate enough to have scored one. It’s great bourbon. This bottle takes quintessential bourbon notes to an elegant space. Well worth the $250-$300 but nothing more. Bourbon of the year contender…although this is truly the year of the rye.

This bottle was sitting on a shelf here locally for well over a year untouched. I bought it on a bundle deal for a healthy discount. I’ve been on a rye kick so why not. I was really surprised..didn’t know what to expect but i really enjoyed it. Fruit-forward for me. Pears, dates and even a little strawberry. And the rye spice comes forward as a black pepper..but a GOOD black pepper, if that makes sense. Cheers fellas!

I’ve been fortunate enough to come across a handful of allocations this year..this might just be my favorite. My particular bottle is confectionery sweet on the nose. Reminds me of candied cashews/pecans with PLENTY of extra sugar. Very similar on the palate with a back-end heat that is just beautiful and evens the palate out perfectly for me.

1st time watching but had to triple the TV volume to hear you guys. Not sure if you hear this often but you might want to increase your mic volume or increase it in post while editing.
