CHEAP NIGHT VISION
Просмотров 4,7 тыс.8 месяцев назад
Used Night Vision is a much cheaper option, to buying a newer unit we don’t second-guess buying used cars… why spend thousands of dollars more than have to??? There are people doing business and companies in the used market for Night Vision that you can trust one of these companies that I have found is THE GOON-IES AT SUNSET LLC Check out their Facebook page give them a like if you get...

Omni 7 L3 Thin Filmed Gen3 pvs14 brief overview. NOTE- lighting was shit for the most part, but in keeping with my motto, I would rather show you a video of the worst conditions, then prop up the content with bright conditions. Plenty of guys out there make “pretty videos” to watch popcorn to. I’d rather keep my content RAW. Keep in mind this is a sample size of (1) no tube is the same especial...

Jerry-31 BNVD… VERY DARK NO MOON NIGHT IN IOWA #IowaGUY
Hell yea
I like the video, but it would be much better if you added some simple text of the NV unit that's currently being used during each portion of the video. It's still an awesome comparison video, but it would just take it up to the next level if it was titled during each clip. :) Keep up the awesome work!
It's incredible to see this kind of performance even on cloudy days! It looks like it's at or above the level of photonis ECHO. Chromatic aberration seems to be the downside, but it's half the price of ECHO!!!
How it works in absolut darkness Like inside an forest in a star less night?
@@kain7327 It’s not the best, bust still usable check out my channel lots of content in very dark areas with no moon. And compared to a gen3 omni7 they are very similar in performance
I have that exact same bump helmet with Jerry 31s on it too
I’m very tempted by the J31’s, I have a Nocturn Tanto with a Photonis ECHO tube and Carson glass which I love but duals would be nice… do I sacrifice the nicer tube for J31 duals 🤔 Demo of my tube on my channel 🤌🏻
The tube is not the problem here. It's the glass.
@@aesthetic8780 Yeah it does seem to be quite an issue, more so that you cant swap out the glass for a PVS 14 type glass.
Jerry 31s? I love mine but I might have to sell them to afford dual PVS-14s so my dad and I can night hike.
I would take the MH-1
@@michaelyi7993 yes j31s, check out GOON-IES AT SUNSET LLC on FB right now he has NNVT5 PVS14 for under 1800 TYD then you can keep the duels. I did a video on him “CHEAP NIGHT VISION” on my channel. Check it out he does have someone acting like him so make sure it’s the right guy. Tell him IOWAGuy sent you.
@@aesthetic8780 what do you mean?
Did you sell them? I have a pvs-14 gen 3 white phosphorus I may be interested in trading you...
@ I ended up going MH-1s with supergains in em haha thanks though

How much difference is there in performance between Photonis Echo and NNVT4?

Can the rings that hold the eye cups on the objective lens be removed?

Have you ever seen UFOs with it? 🛸
That's not that bad, all things considered 🤔
Brawa dla autora filmiku! W końcu jeden człowiek pokazał jak naprawdę wygląda obraz w "prawdziwych" warunkach z noktowizora gen 3 omni 7. Próżno tu szukać pięknych wyraźnych i soczystych obrazków z reklamy... Piękny obraz to tylko jak pod domem zrobimy sobie filmik gdzie jest bardzo dużo światła...
Thanks! This helped a ton!!!
Nice!
They don't have auto-gating, right?
I’ve heard yes and no, they have some type of protection for sure it may not be the traditional type of autogating but it presents the same way when using them compared to the Gen3 units I’ve used. Tubes are very robust, they handle white light very well as far as durability with a bit more lens flare than carson glass.. and the addition of chromatic aberration which can be minimized by adjusting the gain.
Nice shooting star in the video
two quick notes. Those arent actually blems you pointed out in the tube. Those are actually specs of debris/dust inside the device. If youre ballsy and can repurge the unit...you can easily clean that out. Secondly, im not sure what they told you about that front objective lens but that looks like a Chinese objective. They have a look to them, sadly its not a mil spec lens
Is purging not just filling the unit with inert gas? i wouldn't think that would be necessary, to get dust out it should be fine to just take out the tube and use an air brush to blow anything off of your input and output windows as well as properly clean the inside of the lenses
You make the best night vision videos! Keep them up!
Looking at the lenses, they kinda look like from CK Optics Pvs 14 objective lenses. Which is know to have a little blur around the edges.
What section of Iowa r u n ?
East central
Hi Can you share more details about your JERRY-31s? Really interest what different beteween J31
Greetings from Chile in South America. Thank you very much for your content. Unfortunately, night vision devices are very difficult to obtain in my country, and content like yours helps make a good decision when purchasing one
The goonies at sunset is awesome
Do you have any idea about the new Infiray's Jerry 31S?
Very cool video. Way to take advantage of the elements at the time. Keep up the good work.
Awesome vid! Is this through the Jerrys?
I bought a pair of Jerry-31s because of your videos and we watched the northern lights with them last night with my family. Thanks for recommending them and making videos on them. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the aurora borealis unlike 99% of the population. Truly a religious experience. Thanks!
That’s awesome, what do you think of them?
@@IowaNVGuy The Jerry’s are my first pair of nods and my sole interaction with them as well. Having a sample size of 1, I think they’re stellar. A few nights ago on a 0% moon night and 40 miles from the city near Mt. St Helens in WA, they performed amazingly and I was able to run and gun and drill with passive and active aiming alike. Even with virtually no ambient light, indoor performance is good enough to navigate unfamiliar areas and see enough to see in dark corners. The Jerry’s are surprisingly capable and in my opinion from watching videos, closer to Gen 3 than most people think.
Those streams are crazy in real life... Watched them also through NVT-4 tubes!
Stupid fast,… makes you feel like earth is just falling through space.
@@IowaNVGuy We actually do! And that's the mind boggling part. You can literally see the force the sun sends to earth. Visualized. It really makes me realize how tiny we are. And I'm glad we're here to see it with our own eyes!
I saw these yerterday we took a picture of it with night vision and it looked beautiful with pink purple blue and red in it that's why we should look more at the beautys of the world
I have to admit that for a Chinese goggle that costs 1/3rd of what other NV costs the image looks pretty decent
Basically a Wp Omni7… is what it feels like
Great video IowaGUY! Would you be interested in reviewing the NVG30?
Yes I would, I don’t have one of them at this time though.
Is there a way to connect with you more privately?
Nice to see another fellow iowan on here. Ive been lookibg into getting some of these. Wish i had buddies closer that i could try them out beforeni buy them. Lol
Debating on selling my gen 3 white phosphorus pvs 14 and adding a bit and getting these. Just to have binos with caddy functionality at this price point.....I'm gonna wait just a little longer to hear more end user reviews
do you get to hunt with NV in your state? If so, how has it been?
I can ,… no lasers or lights though. So I use thermal.
Used pvs14s can be lower than 1500$ too And printed housing nvgs even under 1k (but gen2+ than)
Thanks for the video. I love everything night vision.
I just bought two nvg30s and called it lol. They do actually do night vision things and are on par with old gen 2 analog. I dont care what anyone says in the night vision community. I have done running and gunning with them. Id say they're very close to the opsin but with less features obviously but also 2 units costed me 900$. Latency is not an issue whatsoever. Lights and darks have no delay. FPS lag is not really that bad either. Its got a small amout but its totally manageable. Hate me i dont care they work ! No IR needed even in overcast and starlight. They still work.
I have an NVG30. It is about equal to the gen 2 PVS-5 I used in the military in the late 90's early 2k's. When I think about what SHTF in my area might be like, most if any of the people I will cross will not have any NVG tech of any kind. Even a Sionyx Opsin or the NVG30 or even a NightFox or "NightOperator" will be a HUGE advantage here. I really don't see me, in this area, facing off with elite forces with top gear, or any gear at all.
Must be nice to be rich.
My friend I’m by no means rich… I don’t care if you work at MacDonalds anyone has the ability to save money. 2k is a lot of money… but it’s also a lot less than 4k.
Don’t be a crybaby. You want it? Make it happen.
@@declineofthewest.True
@@declineofthewest. I made it happen on a decently normal salary. Couldn't be more thrilled. I love the unit. I do live in the EU, so the prices are way higher and I could only get an Echo+ PVS-14 for a "decent" price.
Its called a flashlight. Cheap nightvision. Guess what i can see in the dark? You wearing night vision because you have glowing green on your face. Lol
Others can also see the beam from the flashlight you're referring to, and also has a hellava lot more signature than the green glow from uncovered NVGs.
did you put yourself on that wall? hope not, you don't seem useful. Its clear you have zero time with nods on
eyecups or facepaint lol
Tell us you're poor without telling us you're poor.
That look like my PS-14 HPT 2+ from ATN over 10 years ago. Not much has changed
Considering it's gen2 tubes that makes sense.

Their website says, "We are taking your cookies and aggregating them and if you try and stop any of it then our whole site disappears, screw you." Remember, if the product is too cheap then you might be the product. Let's say we give the benefit of the doubt, and maybe this isn't the whole truth. Maybe they are just a small company that doesn't know that they should have options for cookie preferences. Unfortunately in 2024 you'd have to make a site this way one purpose, with extra work. I tested it with Brave browser and if you have even basic shields on then the whole site doesn't work. More of RUclips works with shields on than gooniesafterduskbunnies
It is cheaper, but we have different ideas of what cheap means.
It’s relative. For real night vision, and a place your not gonna get scammed. Good deal
@@IowaNVGuy bit much for me, but I'm just smelly walmart deplorable 😉
@@nagaviper1169 save that money buy it piece by piece. Once you get the mount helmet it will be easier to save for the Night Vision.
@@IowaNVGuy 👍
I have several digital units and two tube units. There is no comparison. Even the cheapest functioning PVS14 will by far outperform any digital night vision.
For $2000
Full set up for 2k - can’t beat it.
Saw a gen 3 2000+ FOM green phospher on optics planet yesterday
Love buying used :3 Picked up a dual tube gen 3 white phosphor, 4200 bucks. Place literally had a dude in a shiesty trying to sell his "Accordion I be playing man". Had 2 grand in cash in my pocket, lol. I cracked part of the housing by overtightening 🙊, but it works :)
Oh and when I called the place, I heard "Oh yeah we have a white phopshor one" and I asked how much, and they said 4k and I was so disgusted, then I asked how many tubes there were, then I was interested.
Did it have gen3 tubes?
