I hope to share with you some things to consider during your first few weeks as a resident that will help you become the doctor you aspire to be.

Great prodcast 👍
1:33 i like remembering the different parts of the intestinum tenue as DJI (like the drone company) Duodenum, Jejunum, Ileum 4:50 Just to be a little more specific about the nervous plexus has an eponym, submucosal (Meissner) plexus 5:30 It was a little unclear but parts of the GIT they are enclosed in peritoneum are covered by serosa and if not then adventitia.
0:59 to 2:42 Bonus info: this type of structure made of layers will be present in many organs with a tube structure for example the ureter, ductus deferens, gall bladder (vesica fellea)... just with minor variations so its important to know this basic layering! 2:20 Different parts of the GI track are located in different ares of the body. They can be intraperitoneal, retroperitoneal Primary or Secondary and Subperitoneal. Itraperitonel means that it is in the peritoneal cavity and therefor covered by SEROSA (a thin layer of connective tissue). Retro- (behind) means it is behind the peritoneal cavity, Primary meaning that developed outside the peritoneum and stayed there and secondary meaning that the organ was once covered by peritoneum and later through development the peritoneum got obliterated and now it outside the peritonea cavity therefor covered by ADVENTITIA (It is loose and thicker, irregular collagenous connective tissue composed of fibroblasts, nerves, blood vessels, and other components). Sub= below the peritoneum.
2:54 Bonus info: Because of the anatomy of the bronchi objects are more likely to get stuck in the right bronchus 4:44 Bonus info: Besides type 1 and type 2 pneumocytes another type of cell the can be found in the Alveoli are coniophages (Dust eating cells)
6:13 Vas deferens is not an anatomical term! Borrowed from Latin vas (“vessel”), are tubes that carry blood, if it doesn't carry blood then it can be considered as a duct. Therefor the correct anatomical name is Ductus deferens. Other then that great video thanks!
Really good
good
Great ✨🌺
Thanks that's really helpful
very very helpful, thank you
👏
Thank you so much for this information ❤️
And also wouldn't the ureter have a larger star-shaped lumen? That was main distinguishable factor in comparision to vas deferences - since it has three muscle layers?
Thank you! But our prof said the kidney is an exception where it wouldn't have a diaphragm in a fenestrated capillary.
