    hi, if possible, i want to ask a question about glock 43x Firing ping. When the gun is not loaded, the bullet is not in the barrel, when tilting the gun down, up, if you move the gun to the sides, you can hear how this part dangles inside. The sound is loud. I would like to understand, this should not happen, right? Thank you.

    • @JettaManDesigns
      @JettaManDesigns Месяц назад

      Actually that's normal in all Glocks (even clones like mine) if the gun hasn't been put into battery (slide racked). If the gun is empty but the slide is racked, then once the trigger has been pulled the firing pin will free float inside the channel. That is likely what you are hearing. With the gun empty rack the slide then shake and see if the rattle stops. If it does then you're good to go. If it still rattles then take it to a gunsmith to check it out. With that being said, it shouldn't be an overly lowd rattle. If it is there may be another issue. In that case I'd advise taking it to a gunsmith asap.

    OK, I gotta ask, apart from a smooth as butter trigger pull when dry firing on the couch watching John Wick 2. How does this, did this, affect your groups shooting paper targets?

    • @JettaManDesigns
      @JettaManDesigns Месяц назад

      Good question. The short answer is that this alone will not improve your grouping. There are other fundamentals that you must master in order to improve your grouping. However, doing this, if used with a proper trigger pull, will help you to not only improve your grouping but with enough practice, will help you do it faster. Give it a try and get back to me. (The long answer). Now if you want to step up from shooting paper targets then you can decide to do this modification and step your game up and start ringing steel on the move or in competitions. There's a reason the higher tier guns have buttery smooth triggers. Trust me, their bars are worked to death. In an emergency situation your target isn't gonna stand still while you shoot them. This modification improves the trigger grittyness often found in glock triggers (and clones using glock OEM parts). It also helps on the reset. You can take a step further and change the connector and vastly lighten the trigger pull (the 10 trigger pull average on my EDC is 3lb to 4lbs but my competion builds are 2lb to 3lbs. However, if you're rocking a Glock with a 5lb to 6lb trigger pull and only getting to the range once or twice a year to shoot paper targets and you feel thats all the training you need to successfully protect your life and the ones you love, then again, this is not the mod for you. But I do suggest you give it a try and let me know how it turns out. (just my 2 cents) JettaMan OUT!

      Yes you are absolutely right if you're using a shoe that has a full pin (i.e. the original Ranger Proof Shoes like the red one shown here) or set screw that goes through to the other side. The Empire Stiletto shoe pictured does not have a set screw that goes all the way through neither does any of the new Ranger Proof shoes. Thanks for the input because that is a good technique when using that type of shoe. Good stuff.

    Thank you for a concise and well edited video. I’ve taken my Glocks apart to polish trigger connectors and do deep cleans, but I’ve never had to replace a firing pin spring…but I think I may have my first one. While at the range today, we experienced two light primer strikes (back to back) resulting in misfires. First time I’ve ever had a Glock not go bang, and I’ve shot a LOT. The good part is that my grandson was with me (he was actually the one firing), so he got on the spot training about how to handle a misfire, and the difference between a hang fire. Invaluable experience. Now to search for lint, weak/broken spring, broken firing pins. Since it’s a retired duty firearm and now one of my main EDC’s, lint is definitely a possibility. Even some stray oil that got tacky, but I doubt that one, as I’m really stingy with oil on my Glocks. Anyway…thanks. After watching your video, it’s now a simple job. So glad yours was the first one I clicked on. No need to search others. REPAIR EDIT: Analysis-breakdown revealed TWO separate problems that manifested at the exact same time. The odds are a LOTTO-LARGE numbers. 1. The slide lock lever (the one you pull down to take the slide off) had bent SLIGHTLY, and it was sticking down, which was causing the slide to just fall off. It was aftermarket (extended version) and I replaced it with a different manufacturer this time. Arthritis causes me to need the extended version. 2. Replaced the firing pin spring and that fixed the light primer strikes. Whole replacement time was about 10-15 minutes and that included explaining things as I went to my grandson. I now have those extra parts, including two firing pins in my safe. Happy camper.

    • @JettaManDesigns
      @JettaManDesigns Месяц назад

      @@sax5055 thats awesome. My apologies for the delayed response. I think it's great that your grandson got that experience as well. I too prefer to use aftermarket extended slide releases (and a couple raised) due to my high and tight grip. I've never seen one bend as you described though. Maybe that one was a QC issue. Anyway, I'm glad this video was able to help and please let me know if I can help in any other way in relation to the Glock platform. Stay tuned for more.

    • @sax5055
      @sax5055 Месяц назад

      @@JettaManDesigns No worries. I’m retired and only work one day a week. Range tomorrow with son and grandson. Nothing but good times. Concerning the bent slide release, it was definitely odd. I have “a few” Glocks and never had an issue like that. I don’t know how you’d QC a simple piece of metal. It had about 2,000 rounds through it. Just one of those things. I don’t carry a backup firearm on duty…I’m rethinking that one. I may have to confiscate my wife’s G43 😏 But a G26 sounds better…I can shove one of my 24 round mags in it. Yeah…I just talked myself into another Glock 🤷🏻‍♂️😁

    Your videos on the finer points of setting this unit up are very helpful. I especially liked the previous one showing how to get the chatter out of the tool. I mount tools like this to a board that extends out on either side of the base by about 6". (You can see the holes in the base through which to pass the screws. Or you can countersink them from underneath and use nuts above.) That way I can clamp the board rather than the tool and the clamps do not get in the way of my work. I can move it to any surface because it is not screwed to my workbench. And it makes the base wider and thus more stable. I also made a wood table to fit snugly over the base so that should I ever be off from exact center, I won't immediately drill into the metal base. Just some thoughts that might be helpful.

But, there is still lateral movement when the handle of the press is pushed all the way down. This means the drill bit moves slightly to the left. I don't know what to do! Thx for watching. The collet that comes with the dremel won't accept the 4mm bits. I suggest purchasing the Dremel 631 Brad Point Bits and using the 5/32 bit (slightly smaller). The shank on the 631 bits are shaved down to fit the dremel collet. Once youve completed the holes then run your m4 bit through the hole BY HAND to get it to the correct size. Let me know if this helps.

    I got my workstation but I have a question. The metal pipe it turns easily. Is it suppose to do that? How do you keep it from turning How can the dremel work properly if the bar keeps turning

      Sorry for the delay. No it's not supposed to spin freely. At the rear of the base there should be a "Base Hex Bolt & Nut" to tighten that. I have filmed, "How to Assemble Your Dremel Workstation for First Time Quality - "The Prequel" (min 1:00 - 1:25) where i showed the full assembly but RUclips in their infinite wisdom deleted it and gave me channel strike. Anyway, you can check it out on my Rumble channel at rumble.com/vrlrys-how-to-assemble-your-dremel-workstation-for-first-time-quality.html Let me know if you have any other questions. Thx for watching.
