Braised Beef Cook Time: 3hrs 30mins Serves: 6 Ingredients 4 Lbs Beef Chuck Roast, Cut Into Large (3-4”) Pieces 2 Tbsp Olive Oil 3 Onions, Chopped 3 Large Carrots, Peeled And Chopped 6 Celery Stalks, Chopped 4 Garlic Cloves, Peeled And Chopped 2 Cps Red Wine 2 Cps Beef Stock 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste 2 Tbsp Flour 4-5 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary Tsp Dried Oregano Fresh Bay Leaves Salt Black Pepper Instructions Preheat oven to 350*F Cut, rinse and pat dry the beef with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper. On the stove, heat up your dutch oven on medium-high heat and sear the beef in olive oil until all sides are browned and remove from the pan. Add onions, carrots, celery and garlic. Sauté until tender. Add in the flour and stir. Deglaze the pan with the red wine, stir so all of the bits loosen up. Add the beef broth, tomato paste, rosemary, bay leaves and oregano and bring to a simmer. Add the beef back in, making sure the liquid just covers. Cover with the lid, and place in the oven for 3 - 3 1 ⁄ 2 hours. Give a stir halfway through. When done, remove rosemary stems and bay leaves.

Ben you fuckin Muppet, I hope you fight Ole Rick so you can experience what I did. Ask Eric, we literally had a small fight club with signed waivers, boxing gloves, and just a mouthpiece. I practiced boxing at this time in my life and knew how to throw a punch. So I then proceeded to punch Eric in the face about 37 times. He got dizzy but never ever fell over. Eventually my hand fractured. We considered him the winner. Have fun.

First Candyman was my first in theatre horror movie. Loved everything about it.

Enjoyed Unbreakable and Split but Glass was disappointing.

It’s interesting. Everyone’s feeling the same way I felt about the first one. I was actually a little let down initially because smile 2 is sorta like the flip side of the same page. Other than the opening feeling like a step forward in progression. I kinda get it now though. And I’m loving how everyone’s talking about these movies Huge fan of final destination, the ring, hereditary. Those movies scare me with excitement. The smile franchise takes like the tone of those movies and executes it really well. I think im more excited to see what Parker Finn does outside of smile

Sausage Roll Ingredients: 1 sheet puff pastry 1 pound ground sausage (Usually sold in large tube shape by Jimmy Dean, etc) 1 egg for egg wash (optional) INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 425° F. 2. Roll puff pastry sheet to approximately 14 x 10 inches on a lightly floured surface. Cut in half lengthwise. Place a roll of half of the sausage down the center. Bring sides together, and pinch to seal. Make sure that roll is thoroughly sealed. Repeat with other half of puff pastry and remaining sausage. 3. Cut each roll to desired size or into four pieces. Cut 2 to 3 diagonal slits in each piece. Place on rimmed baking sheet lined with non-stick aluminum foil. 4. Brush with egg wash. Bake at 425° F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown and sausage is completely cooked. Cool 10 minutes before serving.

Mince and Tatties Mince Ingredients: 1lb ground beef 1 lrg onion or 2 med onions diced 2 lrg carrots diced 1 tsp thyme 1tsp black pepper 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 2 cp beef stock or to cover 2 cubes beef bullion 1 tbsp flour Salt Tatties Ingredients: 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut 1/4 cp butter 1/2 cp milk 1/2 tsp pepper Salt Optional: 2 tbsp sour cream or sub milk for heavy cream INSTRUCTIONS Mince 1. In a large saucepan over a medium high heat, brown the beef while breaking it up. Add the onions, the thyme, the beef bullion and continue to cook on medium high until the beef has browned and the onions are translucent. Add in the carrots. 2. Add flour to the browned beef and veg and stir. Add the beef stock and the Worcestershire sauce. Stir some more. Turn the heat down to a low simmer, cover with a lid and cook for around 30 minutes or until the mince is soft and the gravy has thickened. Salt to taste. Tatties 1. In a large pot bring heavily salted water to a boil. Add in potatoes. Cook until fork tender. 2. Drain potatoes. Add in butter, milk and pepper while mashing till reaching preferred texture. SERVING We generally prefer a bowl over a plate but to each their own. To a heap of hot tatties add a large knob of butter and ladle on the mince. Over top or on the side. Doesn’t matter. Enjoy!

I paused the podcast to watch The Boogeyman to get some context. It was pretty bad. Here are some things that it reminded me of: the bear from Annihilation; the movie Black Water; Stranger Things (the drawing the the kid did in the beginning); and the Dark Souls frog demon thing. Also, Black Phone - fun movie, but to those in the know, there's no way that kid could do that thing at the end. Took me right out of the movie.
