im measuing 1.37mm on gmk, 1.30mm on crp, 0.85mm on dcs

Honestly, me either lol. I usually use triple stage geon springs 22mm in mx blacks. But decided to use tx medium 60g this time as its what I had on hand. They seem good though

@@shylocutus how do they feel in comparison? I also use 22mm on nixies/blacks, cause I like a quick and loud return but I dunno if a really long spring is appropiate for tactile switches

@@jaimemartin5622 i was thinking along the same lines, with these, so i went with lower springs, and lubed a lot more surface area than i normally would with blacks. still sticking to stem only. honestly the feel great really. i wasnt trying to go for maximum volume or clack and they still pretty loud/clacky. altho im sure the dcs has a lot to do with it. but when i had gmk on the first video i didnt think it was lacking either

I have 58g SPRiT MX Supreme Springs in my broken in brown hyperglides and they are great. Slightly lighter than stock, but bouncier. Also lubed and filmed the switches feel amazing

@@inspire1ove i have sprit springs in the mx blacks that came with my hoshi. love those springs, i love how they preload a little bit. i gotta get some of those myself one of these days, but they cost so much more than tx or geon lol

Yeah, they pretty fun, super late to the mx brown party. But a fun change from blacks and all the hmx

Plate yes, pins are usually thinner in general for hmx. Oring might be problematic if its hotswap

@@BigDomDaddy if u have any of the above, not necessarily worth swapping out unless u looking for a change. If u don't have any hmx at all these or xinhais would be a great one to start with

@@BigDomDaddy xinhais are one of the loudest by far. yogurts arent as high pitched, but fuller than xinhais, if u never tried xinhais, should consider them or sunset gleams. i also like twilights and yogurts

@@inspire1ove i like the emo's they sound like xinhais but quieter. the yogurts are good too though, hard to choose, dont forget catmint as well catmint is another great one.

strictly sound they are super super close, hard pressed to tell in a blind test i bet.

oh yeah, mtnu is a big one not in here either. I dont have this either. i will try to get my hands on a set for followup video, add to list of notable missing ones, and re record a couple of the big guys like gmk/kkb/dcs/crp to compare to the others

if u have a lot of extra costs importing either of these switches, then maybe just stay on cheese. ghost dragon definitely louder and higher pitched than cheese though

@ Thanks a lot! Also, how do you compare their smoothness and lubing quality? If you were allowed to stay only on one of them, which one would it be? And for longer periods of typing (for example for a writer) is it more tiring to write on ghost dragons?

@@Emrah2908 if you are a writer and want to type a long time without fatigue from sound, get cherry mx blacks or browns 😆

@@shylocutus No, just wanted to know if 60+gr is fatiguing for let’s say 2 hours of period. Also would be very helpful if you could tell me which one is better for you in terms of feel. I love clack and high pitch and trying to find the highest pitched smoothest switch. So need a little help. Thank you

ghost dragons are definitely higher pitch than cheese

pebbles are great for the price. good enough for me

@@omegatitan8656 i dont play in the creamy field too much, but the akko rosewood was very very deep. maybe the keygeek keylin is another deep switch i ran across.

i have not, the pricing is so low, especially on sale, it has been tempting to give them a try. lots of colorways to choose as well, maybe one of the other viewers can chime in and let us know

while the packaging is miles better than gmk, and caps dont go flying every which way, i do find the pegs to be finicky to open and close. as far is sprue marks etc, kkb is great for that.

DCS is great, i was eyeballing dcs sleeper at drop. $79. i also like DCS Sport walker at signature plastics. pretty tempted to get in on that gb.

i love my mx blacks build so i havent really found a need to solder a different build lol, but i do have a 5000 word monkeytype asmr on the levi. LOL

sound alone, they are damn close. but texture, kerning etc etc, kkb is quite a bit worse, esp when they asking similar pricing within shooting range of gmk

@ much better. Still remember the day I had to spend like $150 on sets like kaiju and polybius. Still worth every dime in my opinion tho 💪🏼

i didnt find dmk or jtk to be dull at all, at least on this board with mx blacks, be surprised if ppl could tell the difference in a blind test, sound only. but yes swk is sleeper set that slaps for the price. esp when on sale. $39 for SW dolch? what? lol

at least as good, better is subjective, those 3 are og hmx clack, this one has same tone/clack as og hmx clack which is why i push it. i dont do really do videos of the deeper hmx. if you like those 3, this one is definitely worth considering along with twilight

honestly, i think these could use some of the rnd treatment, its just a lot more $$ lol. be sure to keep the parts together or do them 1 at a time if u do buy some, dont mix the pieces together or u will undo all the breaking in

@@DadTech1981 if u havent yet be sure to grab their big 3x10 lube tray, its cheap and will keep all your top + stem + bottom in order so u can keep them all together instead of 1 by 1

yeah i can imagine, i would probably prefer a hair of lube on stem, but this way u can break them in manually before lubing just by typing on em for a few months

@@DadTech1981 i got a DAS keyboard off fb marketplace a year ago for $10, came with mx browns, i gave it to a girl to use at work. shes been manually breaking in for me, i figure i harvest it another year from now for the switches lol

i like em, i feel like they almost on the verge of too scratchy if there is such a thing, i wouldnt mind trying some broken in ones. i do think i prefer mx blacks though. what plates have you tried em on so far

@@shylocutus The broken ones are extremely nice! Super smooth. I've tried them on all the usual plates. Alu & POM is the far best.
