excellent buy. you will love it. neo65 just loves any switch i put into it. im on my third neo65 now lol. keep rebuying it back. its nearly the perfect board for content and soundtests.
@@64BBernard yes all the time. i would not suggest it if you are going oring mount, but the gasket beans pcb mounted will work great with millmax in theory
Hmmm I feel as if maybe these switches would've benefitted from a softer plate material. I think these are thin on a really hard material like CF (similarly to HMX Cheese)
typically the high pitched clack is associated with thin, and deeper associated with full. its all preference really. luckily there are so many ways to tune for your preference. softer plates will definitely take off some of the high pitch you get from the resin on the cf. the stellar rose might be better fit on cf. it was also great
@@shylocutus for sure I get that. I think it's more of a "my hearing has definitely deteriorated so I'm not picking up on some of the higher frequency" things 😂😂
lucky65 is flex cut pcb right, and plate likely as well? probably a pc plate? tape up the flex cuts on the pcb, if u can get a cf plate will help. is selling the lucky and picking up the neo65 an option in your country? lucky65 might have 1.2mm pcb as well. i believe the lucky65 is more intended to be built with the foams which will kill most of the clack
i havent used macchiatos in some time, gotta see what i have available. i havent found these to sound like macchiatos but it has been awhile. the shorter travel may be why these sound higher to me than macchiatos. let me see what i can do, i dont think i have a full set of macchiatos that arent soldered down atm
@@shylocutus Ok cool, same with the stellar rose, they are basically the same as the HMX SU. I'm trying to decide if I should just get the akko or those.
without a 1:1 comparison its hard to say, they definitely in similar ranges. i would say if you already have a xinhai build you do not need to switch to this. but if u looking for a new hmx switch to switch it up or need a new hmx for a new build then this one should definitely be added to the short list
@@shylocutus I'm really looking an HMX high pitched clacky switch since this is going to be my first HMX switch and I can buy this akko mirror around $0.25 per piece and Xinhai around $0.37 so I'm thinking about their differences and I think that mirror is not as heavy as Xinhai. So, I am really confuse of which one I should get 😵
in terms of spring weight, type and feel, they will be essentially the same. the xinhai will be slightly higher in pitch but not by a lot. i would say for the 25 cents vs 37 cents, the akko is the easy choice. you will not be disappointed with either. both will be great intro to hmx.
@@shylocutus LMAO I ended up buying Mz z1 because the price per switch is just $0.12. Although it's not in the same tier as MHX switches but what do you think? Should I sell it and buy the mirror if mz z1 is not worth the price? 🤔
These sounds good!
wow, these sound very good.
The mirror is a great switch, prol best one akko has in their collection. Hmx FTW.
I just bought a white Neo65 with a solder pcb and an aluminum plate from Ashkeebs a couple of days ago.

@@shylocutus Have you ever Mill-maxed a solder pcb? I'm thinking of doing this with the Neo65 solder pcb.

If this switch comes to indonesia i'll buy it hahaha
its akko, i feel like they have pretty wide distribution

I do have this switch and a lucky65 keeb. No foam installed but I cannot get the clackiness like this. Why? Is there I need to do? Thanks.

Can you compare these to Hmx macchiato’s, they are basically the same materials, except color

@@trippleaj honestly cant go wrong with the akko ones. but i also dont have SU to compare directly
very different to the macchiatos, feels a lot more smooth and louder
