Thanks for the info! Do you need a master's degree for BCBA, but only certification for becoming a BCABA if already have a bachelor's degree?
You need a Master's degree for the BCBA and a bachelors for the BCaBA (but it has to be a ABAI accredited program), the BACB has more info, will be working on making more videos about this! www.bacb.com/bcaba/

Yes, exactly! In Behavior Analysis, private events are verbal behavior that only the individual can observe and self-report like thoughts, feelings etc.

What I'm not getting is isn't the knowledge of an actual punishment still reinforcing behavior? I mean that is how rules work, you know their are consequences, you "choose" to not break the rule.
That might be because we use the word "consequence" differently in Behavior Analysis, a consequence is just whatever we observe happen after a behavior; knowing that something aversive/punishment is coming up could be what we call a Reflexive Conditioned Motivating Operation (CMO-R), I'll make a video on different types of MO's soon!

Hi, thanks for making this video! I just bought the SAFMEDs and Pass the Big Exam Manual. Do you remember how long it took for you to receive them? I plan to take my exam end of July/beginning of August!

I used the hard copy, I think it depends on which you prefer, I like hard copies better usually

How did u use the safmeds? In my graduate program we looked at the definition and said the term. I know some people see the term and say the definition. Just curious how you studied.

Why did you decide to become a BCaBA? Do you get higher pay compared to RBT? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the money for the BCaBA sequence college classes. It will be about 5k to take all 5 classes. I don’t plan on getting my masters degree in ABA.

I believe you make more as a bcaba but from my searches, there’s more job opportunities for rbt.

There's 200 terms, I don't think it's every single term in the task list; but I would say it's the foundational terms you need to know

My favourite destressor is playing videogames, although sometimes I find myself getting frustrated at this destressor, so I question its effectiveness? 😂 I think I also need to introduce more effective positive chain in the morning to get me out of bed too. Right now it's Wake up - Get Dressed - Yoga which I don't think is very effective, as I'm finding myself lying and being put off.. Maybe a brew first would help. Thanks for the video plenty of food for thought! X
