Very nice. Brass is a bit messy sometimes because it's always on FFF and too much close mics, but I really like how punchy the percussion is. edit: Listened in headphones, it's actually better than I thought, not that much FFF in face
I used the original Episode 4 OST track as a basis, and there is a ton of close mic with hard panning in that one. The brass are going even harder than I can get it to go without going down the madness of sample-modeled instruments.

@@FireF1y644 But I like the Episode 4 version (for better or worse). It's what takes me back to the 80s watching it on VHS. As for the percussion, the punchiness is largely from Softube's Germanium Compressor. That things packs a whallop on any type of percussive instruments.

I used Studio One v6. It’s been my DAW for a few years now.

would you attempt adding the preluding Space Violin and Maw segment to this to introduce the halo theme? None of these other cover artists ever dare go that deep into the actual core music of the original trilogy, save like one channel that did a mix in like 2009 I think.
Late reply. Oops! I'm happy to tackle the Maw when Spitfire fixes the issues with Eric Whitacre Choir. It's basically perfect for this if they can get around to patching their buggy ass libraries. XD I also want to do Gun Pointed at the Head of the Universe at some point too. That was my favorite aside from the main theme.
This sounds like I was playing Halo and then got lost and ended up playing Type To Learn 3 with a steering wheel with inverted controls.

Hey, awesome work! Several parts really make those VIs sing! The solo woodwinds in particular are really nice. One criticism, however: the final export of this seems to be quite loud. I've got the volume slider on RUclips almost all the way down (and my interface knob at its typical level), and it's not exactly bursting my ears but it is still fairly loud compared to several other videos I've just now tested without moving the slider (a few movie soundtracks, a couple of movie trailers).

This is the best arrangement of Dancing Mad I've listened to yet along with that one very popular symphonic arrangement that is 7 years old. Both have a different interpretation of the piece, and yours legitimately tries to offer something more than a simple cover. Excellent job!
