I am an adult collector, and have been collecting on and off since I was 13. Right now, I am focusing on Monster High and LOL OMG, but I also collect Tokidoki products, keychains, and Nendoroids. I finally decided since I love talking about dolls so much, this would be a good venue to continue to do so outside of my close circle!

sadly no, i dont have a big enough following for that quite yet but im hopeful that eventually i will! i use kikagoods to get most of my bjds, but you can get them on aliexpress too! check reviews of course but blind box bjds are expensive to produce and sold for low prices in comparison so there isnt really a risk of bootlegs bc its just not profitable. hope this helps!!
So did you order these for your friend and have a set for yourself?
It was a box split! My friend and I decided which dolls of the set we wanted, and split the box. About half of the dolls I kept and half I sent to him, but honestly I got really attached to some of his dolls so ill probably order them for myself eventually

Im so glad i could help! i definitely recommend them, theyre surprisingly high quality for the price and not as much risk as buying bigger bjd! (no profit in making knock offs so not as many scams) i havent been let down by any of the boxes i've bought so far! Love SH dolls. They are fabulous. I don't think the price point is bad at all. They are the same price as G3 MH here in Europe (£29.99), not the 3 Rainbow vision dolls but the regular series. It is a good price for dolls that detailed and when they are reduced, they are a real bargain.
That is a good price for them! The two newest series I usually see for the same price as G3 MH, which I think was good for the quality, but the newest series had such a big quality drop that I don't really want to pay that. Older series when I see them in stores are usually $30+ USD, and even worse online. Maybe the stores in my area just suck
I have 3 Mermaze dolls. I love them but I don't want anymore because their faces really look too similar. I have Shellnelle and Jordie, my 2 favourites of the first wave and one of the winter wave. I like the "collector" one but I find her too expensive even reduced. They are quite amazing really but 3 is enough for me... space, space...
I agree the faces are p samey. The designs are different enough that it doesn't bother me a lot, but if the brand continued it definitely would have become an issue. I love Jordie!!! She's my most recent, but easily one of my favorites that I have.
I love G1 dolls, still. I don't hate G3 but I admit I don't like them very much. I only have one so far. The price here in Europe does not help. They are £30. I think they are overpriced for the quality. I think they look cheap somehow. I did not like Clawdeen at first but yesterday I saw the core dolls reduced in a department store. And strangely, I thought she is probably one of the cutest if I forget she is supposed to be Clawdeen! I am thinking about buying one or two maybe. I would prefer to find them in boot sales or charity shops. If I stop thinking of their G1 versions when I look at them, I like them more but they are not my favourites. I still love my G1 dolls after all these years.
Oh yea I've heard the prices in Europe are rough, i hope you're able to eventually get some you like!! I still love the original G1 designs, but the new generation appeals a lot more to me. I like G1 fashion more in a lot of cases, but I like G3's base dolls more. I definitely agree they're cheaper looking, but I also think Mattel is slowly upping the quality on them as they realize they aren't going to immediately flop.
They were not meant to be played with for sure. They are fragile. I love them. I have quite a few but I bought them all when they were still in shops and being clearanced or in car boot sales. About the crazy prices... it only happens because some people are willing to pay them. Why? Do they want something so badly that they are prepared to be ripped off that much. Never follow trends!!
Absolutely!! Hopefully eventually the trend dies down and people stop buying them for that much
is the scrunchie meant for the doll too or like a companion accessory for the human person what owns the doll it looks big enough for a person haha
i mean its for the doll but if somebody wanted to wear it they could super easily and would look great doing it
