Im new to illustrator and I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to freakin work around the stupid black box border/canvas thing that surrounds the imported image. I can't select any of the sub layers within its borders and I don't want it there. Can anyone help with this?

How do you get the rest of the buildings like residential to pop up? I was able to do everything but realized that a lot of the housing was missing, any tips on how to bring them up to show in the map?

This works great...up to a point. How do you delete or 'trim' off all the excess around the document border without messing up the core of the map?
