Awesome well thought out conversation. Thank you for sharing your expat experiences.
Monday is the first day of the week in France and shops are open all day long, what are you talking about ? Did you stay in a small lost village in France ?😂
Living in Nigeria: My experience as a Black person.
Do they have fake hair, nails, and eyelash places? You know...for all the black women that like to dress as clowns.
As a 56 yo french man, i'm sorry you faced unpleasant racism situation
I've read another comment from another african american living in France, his take was very interesting imo; Basically he was saying that racism in USA was systemic, as ingrained into the country's law (Jim Crow ...) while in France it is illegal and has been for centuries (as in punishable by law). Therefore racism in France is found more frequently at the individual level the way delinquency is, whereas in USA it's found at the level of global community (KKK) and the level of the States as well as in court - remnants of racist laws are still enforced as of now, or are being reinstated. That's a very deeply rooted thinking process turned into a way of life. But in recent decades, the whole western civilisation has been dealing with terrorism and the backlash of racism directed towards the muslim and arab communities. As well as a very negative views pertaining to illegal immigration. But it's an entirely different debate and the "racists" embracing that hostility are not the same populations than the old scholl racists we had before, as many second or third generation immigrants have also become hostile to the newer immigration waves as well, even towards the new people coming from the same countries than them.
Do you feel blessed???
@@Sarnum-ez2sd God has been nothing but faithful to me 🙏🏽
It's interesting how they would have believe you are inferior, only because they don't know their history. The pyramids are in Africa, and so is the Phoenix, which bears African features, among the statues, and paintings. The moors dominated parts of Europe for centuries, and civilized it. The richest man to ever live was Mansa Musa, worth 400 billion guess where he was from...
Sorry dear it as been proved that the Égyptian from today are the descendant from the Ancien One . The Moor were people from Africa in général it can be Berber tribes who where pretty Light skinned or mixed with Arabs and Black African from West Africa , it can also designed people from the désert or Arabs or even Black peoples , saying Moors is not accurate because it was a European therme . Also those people were literrally oppressor who bring Islam throught conquest and génocide in the Iberian péninsula and were stopped by my peoples the French . They contributed in the gown of the region after their conquest but fly away after the end of the reconquista who was a wars between the Christian Kingdom in the North ( Aragon , Castille, ) and the Andalusie were the "Moors" lived . They only influenced the South of Europe like the Iberian Peninsula , Sardignia or Sicily but didn't go to the Franks kingdoms or the Germanic Kingdoms or the British one or even in the Italian citys .😊😅😅😅😮😊
I see nothing different for a white or black person. The french admnistration is a mess. You're still a bit american ;-) (no offense) where the "race" is more important than the citizenship. Blacks, jews, muslims belong to the most beloved french fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personnalit%C3%A9_pr%C3%A9f%C3%A9r%C3%A9e_des_Fran%C3%A7ais Not saying there's no issues. Stupid people are everywhere. But as an old French, for instance, when I think about Omar SY, I think about a french actor. You, americans, think it's above all a black actor. I advise watching "tout simplement noir" from Jean-Pascal Zadi. One of a best (and funniest) french movie I've watched for years. It explains a lot about how different black french citizens feel. www.arte.tv/fr/videos/117127-000-A/tout-simplement-noir/
lol paris it is not the france i live in 1 city of 200 000 peoples and i pay 450 euros for 90m2 (760ft2)
The US is crowded as well if you’re staying in a big city like Atlanta or New York or Los Angeles and the housing unit is going to be small and you’re still gonna spend a fortune. It’s expensive here too…we have more jobs though.
More jobs = stagnant wages since 1972....
Why black people ?????? Paris is only racist black people 💀
Anyone have experience with Provence? Are they black tourist friendly in that region?
"Black tourists friendly"...maos c'est quoi ce genre de questions ??😂
@ if it doesn’t apply to you, why comment? The video is LITERALLY about a black persons experience.
Stop making everything about skin color 💀💀 you guys really have a problem in NA
@ this is not about skin color, it’s about safety. If you don’t have this concern, if this is not even something you have to consider, then you have NO PLACE in this conversation. Mind your own business
That hair color is beautiful!!
France is amazing- I’ve never experienced such politeness as a black man
Why are you complaining about racism, are not white with this long fake hair or do you not wish to be white? Girl please, keep quiet!
U have an accent 😲
I love your hair! Where do you get your hair done in Paris?
I'm Not even going to Watch Your Content. Thanks Goodness RUclips has Ads before the Content of the Video. I just get Disgusted every time I See the Narcissism of People who mention in their Titles of the Video "as a black person" Were You TRULY such IGNORANT to think that PARIS has never SEEN black People before YOU?? Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????
Hello there! Thank you for your wonderful video. I am black American getting ready to move to Paris this week. I don't know French, and I am looking to learn it. I plan to learn the language while I try teaching online and face to face.
is it worth it to do fashion styling from paris ??
omg umetoka tanzania?! Mambo, vipi za lehyo?
Which suburb do you live in and which would you recommend?
Thanks for sharing your experience! Very insightful.
administrative procedures in France... quite a tragic epic lol. but if it can reassure you even the French often miss one or two steps lol and so we go back and forth to the town hall lol. I wouldn't talk about racism because being white, I'm not faced with this problem and therefore I can't really understand it. mais si tu es encore en france je te souhaite de pouvoir en profité et si tu es deja partie j'espere que tu garde quand meme un bon souvenir de mon pays .
Qual a durabilidade deste penteado. ❤ vi que não amarrada as pontas, isso não faz o cabelo soltar mais rapidamente?
1. You’re stunning. 2. I don’t live there, but I’ve been there twice on extended trips. I was treated very well and everyone I spoke to was very kind. A lady in Galeries Lafayette gave me the best compliment. I was checking out at the counter and she started speaking to me in French. I asked, in French, if she spoke English. She giggled and switched to English, and said that she thought I was French because I didn’t dress like a tourist. She said the tourists don’t dress as well as French ladies, and she liked my coat. I have never felt so chic🤣
14:17 are you learning french
Thank you for this video. Please recommend where a person can live outside Paris while still working in Paris?
I recommend departments around 78, 92 or 94 are great for suburban Paris
I want to come this year I speak french well...
Your skin color define your entire personality and that's fucking cringe
I lived in Versailles and worked in Paris for 9 years the best combi ever, then move to Bretagne and wow life is so much better la vie est belle!
Bretegne Rennes way too life I’ll try Paris one day Les Breton ont mon cœur
As a black person you have most likely felt like home in Paris
Honestly I’ve never had a strong urge visit or live in Paris but I’ve always wanted to live in the French countryside or French seaside smaller cities/towns. Any suggestions based upon hospitality and affordability?
I think the soutwestern France meet your requirements.
if you're not afraid of the climate, Normandy or Brittany are really cool.
La Rochelle, Toulouse --> warm weather, beautiful cities, easy going mood, nice food
How do I stop them from unravelling?
Yum

I love with hair style and the look . 👀 ❤❤ I want to get my hair done next month for my trip to Mexico so thank you for the Tutorial .
Please Dear LORD GOD protect your daughter and may you open doors for her. In Jesus mighty name amen.
In this moment, unfortunely, racism increase in France. The fact is that traditional republicans politiciens became allied with facists (extrême droite). So, in the street , at work, at school, racists act as racist and our government do nothing. Why ? Because they can't keep the power without racists voices at the elections. More than 20years that situation exist... Racists are 20%, in France and antifascist 20% also. So, these egality give a big power for the opportunist politiciens. Dramatically, they prefer the racists. That's a big politiciens problem that's destroy, day by day, our country and our mind : liberté, égalité, fraternité. From France :p
My people are so defeated. They all want either be European or with European. Praying for the day that being African comes back in style.
I'm getting ready to move in about 2 months and believe it or not, my biggest anxiety is making new friends as an adult if you are not a student. Anyone with ideas on this 🙈 How do you approach meeting people excluding on dating apps
Best advice for adults (no longer in the student stage) is to befriend your local neighbours. From your bakery lady to signing up for local activities within the community , will really get the ball rolling. You will also learn the language faster and meet new people 😉
I would add that hobbies or passions are also a good way to make friends. whether in sport, art or even cultural exchange. my wife is Japanese and she was able to create friendships in her badminton club and in a Franco-Japanese association
I concur. Volunteering in a local association that picks your interest is the best way to find your people. Or just participating in their events. If you're ecologically minded, there are "ressourceries", non profit that focus on waste reduction, reuse and recycling (great place to shop or get rid of your surplus), and those around Paris unite in organizing a festival every year. Repair cafés and object libraries, LPO (League for the protection of birds) and local Facebook groups (enter the name of your town/arrondissement and see what's available) of recycling, free help and plant exchange. There are community gardens, there are non-profits that support small farmers (Amap) and where you can get fruits and vegetables directly from the producer, animal shelters, associations that protect feral cats, you name it. There are knitting clubs that do yarn graffiti, guerilla gardeners that sow flowers in available spaces, local history groups, choirs and bands, hiking associations if you want to visit the region (Randonneurs d'Île de France)... neighborhood festival committees, neighborhood meals for which a street can be closed to circulation, disco soups (where everyone brings an ingredient), and if you live in a historically left leaning town, the municipality will offer very affordable activities, like yoga lessons, pottery, drawing, sewing. There is free work out or tai chi in some parks. You can also become a regular in a nice bar near you with a happy hour, the kind that's comfortable for women to go alone... Also political organizations if you find one close to your values (I include feminists, antiracists or even cyclists in the political). But seriously, non-profits are always hungry for volunteers and there are really nice people in them (and sometimes a few less savory individuals, but still...) You can find many of them on the website of the town hall.
What part of the bush in Africa are you from ?
What racist did you crawl out of ?
@@ibrahimabarry4937 😆 🤣 😂 I'm no racist
Leonwoods, you come across uncultured.
Omg,even here discrimination is definitely apparent
You never disappoint @Victoria. Looove everything about the video ❤️
