I remember I discovered this band at Warped Tour 2006. I saw them play the B stage and it was so amazing

God, this song brings me back to such a special time of my life. The anticipation of graduating 8th grade, summer beginning, high school just on the horizon, being a debaucherous 14-year-old hanging out with my friends, visiting my family, 0 responsibilities. I’m 32 now. Life took several drastic, unexpected turns…ones in which I would lose myself from time to time. Sometimes it’s nice to come back for just a moment to remember that blissful spring/summer or 2006.

one of the reasons i love this song so much is bc it falls in btwn the heavy / ballad area. the music has aggro punch but the lyrics have a kind of ballady depth to them.

Avenged owes these G’s royalties…saw these dude with hinder and they hit a chorus or bridge that still blows my mind to this day .. just wish I knew what song it was

This is a bit of a bittersweet jam for me - I remember buying this album in 2006 when it dropped and enjoying it, but also realizing it was a departure from their earlier albums. Sadly, this album (and possibly single) basically killed their career at the time by alienating the original OG metalcore & Trustkill fanbase and also not resonating with the average radio rock/metal listener.

This just was not metalcore at all. Idk how it was ever considered it. This isn’t heavy in anyway and is just rock music. Other than the aesthetic that literally three bands copied, I don’t hear anything in their music that makes me think yep these dudes pioneered metalcore.
