ABOUT ME! Welcome To The Happy Singing Channel!
Thank you so much ! Very easy to follow and you let the person follow you till the end :) Thanks for your time
so is it rare that i have a vocal range of c3 to c6? e3's my last comfortable note and c6 is my highest comfortable note and highest note
Hello. My range is B2-D6. Can you help me to find my voice type ? (I'm a female)
Sad STORY: I am a Contralto and I study musical theater 😢
I few weeks ago I started trying to sing past the "Happy Birthday" singing most of us non-singers do. I have never been able to sing, so I tried to figure out my range, just to see if I had even enough to build on. I can go from A2 to A5, at any moment. I have hit a F2 once or twice(😂 it's funny bc I'm a 5'1 little woman). The highest Ive ever hit was C6. I guess I'm a legit Contralto. It explains a lot. I sound best singing songs by men...mostly tenors! Thank you for the video!❤
ruclips.net/video/SDQtyfvAoBs/видео.htmlsi=_5bkegAHtJ1q9MHT What do you say about me singing?
Not a singer but my more natural range without straining is E3 to around an A5. I can however hit a C6 relatively effortlessly and stable though. Guess that makes me an alto..?
I litterally joined a choir after being solo for so long..they have already learned 1 song and know how to read music sheets I dont know how to read music sheets at all
I am a contra alto and can almost cover the entire piano in vocal range. I practice my head register with a classical coach and my chest register I use a vocal straw. Also reading Money Notes and practicing the exercises really helps the range of the contra alto ❤
I'm a contralto. When I sing, I'm mistaken for a male pretty often (by the listeners, without seeing my face of course). Back in the day, I did feel bad for not being able to hit high Soprano notes (without sounding like a cooked chicken 🤣). But eventually I learned to appreciate it, especially when my Soprano friends struggled to hit low & I kinda faked the tenor to troll them 🤣
Blah blah blah...
Please list all the soprano types of voices because I tried looking in to it but can't find much Please help Thanks in advance
'Daddy sang bass, mama sang tenor' according to Johnny Cash, and I'm with his mama, a woman singing the low notes.
Born a girl, meant to be a contralto. Also, @Rafscrap is a great example of a deep, chocolatey contralto.
Do we have an AI software that turns sheet music into 4 recordings of each of the 4 choir voices to streamline practice ??
what if one doesnt read 🎵🎶 notes
Alto is just a choral voice part while a contralto is a description of a low voiced female. A mezzo-soprano can sing alto but contraltos would definitely be more comfortable singing alto in choirs.
In the video you say your favorite version is Astrud Gilberto and that you'll include the link - but I don't see the link and am not finding a version that she did. Do you have a link? Thanks!
I have a contralto and I feel ashamed because I always wanna sing a higher pitch song but I can’t 😢
when i first started singing in an honors choir, i was a soprano 1, but in 11th grade, my director moved me to soprano 2, and although i was shocked at the start, i realized that the reason why i have such a warm and resonant lower range nowadays is because i really am a soprano 2. the 4th octave is my strongsuit, and my tone and vibrato really shine in that octave. however, i can still sing in the 6th octave and go higher than that, too. but at the end of the day, i'm a soprano 2, and i couldn't ask for a better voice part. (btw, my current vocal range is E3-G7)
Are you supposed to be able to belt to an E5 in order to classify as that? Or is in head voice okay?
I've noticed my voice has changed a little as i aged. But I've always been in the alto section. Im now B2-B5. But comfortably G5-D#3
I've noticed my voice has changed over the years and I'm now comfortably a contralto with a B2-B5 range.😌
Actually some lighter Baritones will usually go for the 2nd Tenor option and sing the lower tenor line as 1st Bass will still be too low for them.
I'm an average Tenor with a range from B2 to C5.
Yes am just learning my voice and I think am in the middle yah Iam not high again not too low
I’m a Bairtone my range is E2 sometimes D2 and C6 sometimes D2
I think Patsy Cline is a contralto , Carly Simon and Tracy Chapman. there are others too. Patsy can reach high notes too tho.
my current range falls between B2/A2 to A6, and I do not fit in common vocal range types. What makes me think I'm a Contralto it's the warmth of my lower registry, particularly from D3 to B3. Not really sure though Thanks for explaining also the difference with Altos🤩
🙋♀️
Karen Carpenter was a pure contralto.
I'm a teenage girl and a tenor😅my voice range is about D3-G4
Thanks a lot for your video!❤❤❤
Thank you. These are helpful tips
D3 to D6 … not exactly sure where i fit tbh! 😅
I can reach C6 but with very strained headvoice/whistetone. I feel comfortable much lower… am I still an Alto if I can hit high notes ?
@@force___tranquille yes because voice types are based on which notes are the most comfortable for you. if you can hit a low note, it doesnt immediately make you an alto and if you hit a high note, it doesnt immediately make you a soprano.
I hate my low voice curse I won't to sing with my guitar. Not with 30 people so I gave up just play my guitar
I was always a first soprano in high school and college in the 1970’s, but I always wanted to sound like Karen Carpenter, and, of course, I did not, so I never really did anything with it. Well it was that and stage fright!
Including low voice techniques, such as subharmonics and vocal fry and growl, my range is C#2-C#6. Excluding those, its C3-C#6. My break/passagio is at D4, so it really "fun" in choral settings where the director won't let me sing with the tenors, and the altos just go too high too often. I have a friend whos a countertenor and has the reverse issue. the tenors go too low too often and the director won't let him sing with the altos. its very frustrating, especially in some songs where both of us just cannot, in plain and simple terms, sing the notes. my range extends up that soprano high c, but its never easy and never sounds too go above about D5. Both me and my friend will just randomly stop singing in the middle of songs, or switch, temporarily, to a part that is singing a more comfortable note. It annoys our director, but he hasn't stopped us, as long as we switch back to our "normal" part as soon as we can.
my sturdent are vaping in class :/
I’m sorry, that is really challenging to deal with when you are really hoping to engage students in learning. Even showing up and doing your best can make lasting impact. It’s not easy.
The beautiful thing about this video - which is of paramount importance, ABOVE ALL THE SINGING TUTORIALS YOU WILL EVER SEE IN YOUR LIFE- is that I discovered everything that this video said, through months and months of internalizing my few singing lessons. Then I came to this same conclusion. Everything you said - EVERYTHING- I encountered that on my own. Now that I have an additional confirmation of what I discovered from you as a professional singer/coach, I’m all the more confident I am right. The only one thing I disagreed with in this video is your answer to the question: “Does your tessitura change?” In which you responded with an educated guess - “No”. This is the only point I disagree with, your mid-tessitura alternates between a few notes. But it’s generally in the same area.
F/contralto. “Home”. Never been involved in anything alto
My range is about G#2-A5 comfortably, what range is that? I’ve never gotten even close to a concrete answer 😭
When I was younger my music teachers used to me in every group because I could hit any note. Now however once I hit 18 and up to 40 I'm a contralto. If I'm sick I can even hit baritone notes.
I have a very deep speaking voice and i am sometimes mistaken as a man on phone calls (i used to work in a call center and customer always called me sir ) i can only sing confortably male songs and even some contralto songs like Toni Braxton for example are high for me I am so confortable singing frank Sinatra/George Michael/elvis Presley and Madonna Am i a contralto?
You explain things with such great detail and patience, thank you
Thank you for this tutorial. Just shared it with my fellow Choir members. Most of them read music and understand music theory but some are still learning like myself 😊
So great it can be helpful!!! 🌸
C3-C6 is the range I’ve managed before
A male example would be Frankie Valli he is among the few male sopranos who have become superstars in the music world.
Thank you for your help! Sometimes feeling lost, so this really was informative. It's been a long time since choir in high school😂
Recently, our choral director told me I am 2nd soprano or mezzo. Depending on the song, I can comfortably do parts of it as soprano 1 but can't sustain it. I sing comfortably between C4 and A4, my prima voce is the same. My low note range is A4 to C4, my high note range is C3 to G5. IF I am doing all this correctly, is this considered mezzo soprano?
