Good video. Your jack stand position is very dangerous. When using jack stands, the hydraulic lift is only used to lift the car and then removed. Your jack stand should have been placed on the side jack point not the center one. The centre jack point is only used for lifting. Balancing the car on the jack stand like that is extremely dangerous. Wish I had fancy compression tool like you, never mind wish I had a nice garage like yours.

This is one of the weaknesses of X1, this fails quickly less than 60k kms, also makes noisy suspension.

Just a correction those are front struts not shocks. Shocks are in the rear and don’t have coil springs around them. That’s a strut assembly.

Typically for all leakage water-pump on left fender (VW/ Audi same concept), the chemical wash water wash out the protected surface. The road stones impacts on the edge was in this case not the reason. May I ask you, have you still your TT MKI today? Is the TT MKI repair you've done in well condition today? THX Andi
