Does strut replacement necessitate alignment be completed? I've heard both yes and no, so a justification would be nice to include in response. Thanks.
Good video. Your jack stand position is very dangerous. When using jack stands, the hydraulic lift is only used to lift the car and then removed. Your jack stand should have been placed on the side jack point not the center one. The centre jack point is only used for lifting. Balancing the car on the jack stand like that is extremely dangerous. Wish I had fancy compression tool like you, never mind wish I had a nice garage like yours.

This is one of the weaknesses of X1, this fails quickly less than 60k kms, also makes noisy suspension.
Nice how much kilometers before replacing?

Just a correction those are front struts not shocks. Shocks are in the rear and don’t have coil springs around them. That’s a strut assembly.

Can't see why that would be necessary. There's no adjustment rods involved in the job.
Just one more example of my local dealership/servicing dept ripping people off...anyway, not going back there anymore.
