Hello! Can i ask whr did u get ur pilates lessons at? And is it hard to book classes after registering (i heard it cna be quite competitive to get slots) and do u recommend it? :) am intending to also start!
heyy! I'm going to SG Pilates, would recommend them because they have quite a few outlets and tbh one of the cheapest packages around too when you catch them on promo (which they usually do around festive periods or 11.11 for e.g.). I do think availability depends on the outlet but if you book reasonably in advance it won't be too hard to get a slot. I can almost always get the slots I want! :)
this was so encouraging, especially as i’ve just started a new job too. thanks for sharing!

@@SyriusOLsh hahaha definitely not a senpai just ordinary person vlogging my life.. but congrats to you & thanks for hanging out!
It's natural to be uncomfortable in your new job because you are in a new environment with unfamiliar people, management and culture to adapt to. But I believe that with your positive attitude towards life and your matured mindset (despite you being so young) you will overcome your fear and get accustomed to your new role in no time at all. Take it as an experience to learn new things and most importantly, to enjoy the process. This is all part of growing as an adult😀
totally agree. Every job experience I've had has had its own set of difficulties and nuances, even w/ something I thought might be "easy" the challenges come in different forms. Thanks for the sage advice :)

hello, came across your videos a couple of times. u had acne before this right i remember? did u managed to overcome it? your skin looks nice, i dont see any acne anymore 😁. i overcame my acne in my teenagehood by just popping all of them haha🤣
hi! yes I did have acne, mostly hormonal but also because I have quite oily skin. I'm afraid there's no magic cure, but my dermatologist prescribed me to go on accutane (isotretinoin) and that was what's cleared up my skin the past few months. You can see my instagram 'Skin 2025' highlights for more info. Definitely speak to a doctor if you can afford it because your skin condition might be a deeper issue than just changing out lifestyle habits like eating clean, exercising regularly, drink lots of water, use proper skincare etc.!
Congrats on your new job .. sending you love
Your videos are so genuine and uniquely you. You don't have to compare with other contents. Always liked your video for the authenticity and real-ness! And just wanted to point out, like me, u're strong, and so having healthy thinking patterns isn't about not having thoughts that drift away from the path of the healthy ones, but rather we'd still have those thoughts, but we're able to pick ourself up back to the healthier paths when we're ready. It's like courage isn't courage without fears. Lastly, you're good enough, regardless of your achievements!
Thank you for your kind comment and taking time out of your day to send such a nice message 🥲I'm very encouraged by it and you're right- there's no bravery if fear didn't exist alongside it. Hope you remember your words of wisdom too when the time comes that you need it!!

I'm 32 and I've also recently started on my financial journey after realising that I'm saving 77% of my base pay salary. It got me worried that I'm saving such a high % which pushed me into working on my own finance. Just my 2 cents but it would be great if you will look into CPF and how it work, then plan for it. Another thing i like is Singapore Savings Bond (SSB) as it's very liquid, so that I can liquidate it away in a month when i needed it. I bought ssb with the money i might need in the near future (potential mortgage or wedding if any). Lastly is my own higher risk investment which i bought mostly into safer ETF like VOO which tracks the S&P 500. But before any of the above, you will want to have like a 6-12mth savings, and maybe have some sort of health insurance to protect yourself first. Hope it helps, these were just my own plan for now.🙂
Quite impressive for being 23 years old. Keep going! 🎉
@@MH-rf8et thanks man :)
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings! Just wondering, how were you able to get into finance (private equity) with your comms background? Am thinking of trying out too.
Hey! I actually made a whole video on it before (how I worked in fintech with no finance background), you can check that out for starters. As for PE specifically I think it happened that I had a good mix of writing skills across business/corporate to lifestyle gigs so getting a diverse breadth is important, that’s how I got into “marketing” for investment solutions. It’s also good to demonstrate genuine interest and willingness to learn as people w no formal finance training. You will be expected to become more familiar and knowledgeable in the industry as time goes by, but soft skills (easy to work with, excellent communication, great work ethic and grit) will be some of the top things to get you through the door in adjacent non fin roles
Great tips. Been following ur channel since 2021 🩷

Seeing this really puts things to perspective of how blessed / spoilt / entitled we are in this generation. Most of our parents / grandparents did not have this luxury to quit jobs to figure things out. The mindset is different then and now. It was all hard work and pure grit and never giving up. We have to be more appreciative of our parents as they've gone through hardships to give us a better life.
I agree, a lot of them didn’t have the choice to quit and explore different options as young people. My parents worked hard and still do to give me a life they couldn’t have for themselves and I am always grateful for that + the love they show me in supporting my decisions & independence of choice.
Hopely you are Singaporean is very easily to find a job, but for foreigners who are study in Singapore or change job in Singapore, It's very hard.
I can empathise, as a foreigner it must be much more difficult than it already is

Hey Lydia, I'm watching your channel for the first time and I have to say some of the points you mentioned are still relevant for an experienced hire (3 years here). Having a tracker for the jobs applied is a great idea, but doesn't LinkedIn have this feature already? Would be great to assess the interview process for each company applied as well, whether one is a suitable fit for the organization goals and culture, hiring cycles etc. All the best Max
Hi Max- thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! You're right, LinkedIn does have this system but the upside of customising any field you want in a personal spreadsheet is just super useful. Great point on taking notes about each stage in the interview process too, it's so easy to forget all the details once you're off the call
