Over the years, my passion for pretty things has blossomed into an extensive fragrance collection. With the way retail is changing, it's more difficult than ever to choose a fragrance. What does Marc Jacobs Decadence Smell Like? [Fragrance Review]
This week on Perfect Scents I review Decadence for Her by Marc Jacobs!
I came across a sample of this eau de parfum back in autumn of 2015, and knew right away I had to have more. The presentation of the real thing does not disappoint. Housed in deep green glass, this sumptuous fragrance is topped with a gold chrome and python-etched lid, laced with a gold chain and black tassel. Pizazz points are already high!
The fragrance itself affirms what the bottle suggests: brief top notes of crystal sugar give way to deeper jasmine and papyrus woods, anchored with golden amber. The scent brings to mind a crisp autumn night out, a maroon dress, black patent leather heels, perhaps an espresso martin...

I tried this for the first time back in 2003 and really loved it. It did seem pretty strong though so I spray it lightly!! I need to pick up some now.I miss it.

So I’m seeing two bottles one has no colour and the other has a pink tone to it- both called the exact same thing, can someone tell me the difference 😭 not the beyond romance btw I’ve seen that too
I think I know what you’re talking about. This one is the Romance Eau de Parfum and the pink one is Romance Parfum. So the pink one is released either this year or last year. Parfums are supposedly more concentrated but I also cannot confirm. The parfum also has slightly different notes. The parfum is apparently more rose forward, with other key notes like patchouli and blackcurrent. While the EDP has signature notes of bergamot, rose de mai & blackcurrent cassis. I haven’t smelt either so I cannot tell you but some people have said this smells just like the original formulation of Romance in the 90s and that it lasts really long 😚

This is a classic for sure! The only perfume I've re-purchased over the years. I've been wearing this since the early 00's and though I don't reach for it as much today, I still love it just the same. Great review!
I love your channel. I've been a fraghead for about 10 years now. I'm 1,268 fragrances in and can't seem to stop. This one is very nice. It's not the best I've ever smelled, that would be The One edp by Dolce and Gabbana. This one is definitely in the top 100 though.

I just bought the Edp version today and it is amazing!! I did not care for the original Night Vision but Night Vision Edp is leaps and bounds better. Nutty, little spicy and a suttle hint of pistachio!!! I have had well over 10 compliments the first day wearing it👍
