@@travelmanMN I personally would not go in mid June because it is so hot, but I would definitely go in late October.

@@slooc I have not stayed in the adults only, but many of the activities are shared between the four resorts. They are all within walking distance to each other or you can ride a cart between if you don’t feel like walking.

@ Yes! They are adjacent to the Grand (which is now using a different name). The Grand is quieter than the rest of the the resort. We had breakfast there while in a tour, so we had the opportunity to see the rooms and the grounds. If you want a few days with some livelier action, you may want to go to the Lindo/Maya pool and visit the 24 hour Star Cafe. There a great swim up bar under the waterfall in that pool that is a fun experience. Lots to do.

@@thycombs693 Yes! We were there a couple of weeks ago. One of the best seafood buffets we’ve seen at an all inclusive resort.

@@laurensquires8645 There is one Star Camp that is shared throughout the resort.

We have stayed in Del Mar, Beach, and Lindo. We enjoyed every trip there, but Lindo was the best for us. Our other family members stayed in Maya when we were in Lindo and they loved the larger room and a few extra amenities. If you want adults only, you would want to stay in the Grand. You have access to all of the other sections too.

@@CathyBoyes-ve6qs The TRS beach is a ways from the room, but the Butler will call for a cart to pick you up and take you there. It only takes a few minutes. We’ve walked back from the beach because we like to walk, but always had the option to get a cart back. There is a private bar at the beach but I don’t remember a snack bar. We eat 3 good sized meals when we are at an all inclusive, so we don’t normally need much in the way of snacks. But there is food everywhere. We didn’t snorkel when we were there but I imagine that you could. The water was crystal clear. The beach is fairly long and nice for a walk. You will walk through the beach area for the other parts of the resorts. We always left our things on our chair while walking on the beach and swimming, we’ve never had a problem. Of course there are changes all of time, so you may have a different experience, but this was one of our favorites resorts. I hope you have a wonderful time. We will be going to Punta Cana for the first time in October. I’ll try to post a video of that resort too.

@@MariaAlves-de1iw I find that things change, possibly new ownership. I like to look for current reviews on RUclips or Facebook when choosing a new resort. A trusted travel agent is invaluable when looking for a resort that will meet your needs.

That’s a good point. I know that’s important for those who have limited mobility.

It was never my intent to write a negative review, but it just doesn’t live up to the rest of the resorts in which we have stayed in Riviera Maya. Or even how this resort was when we stayed years prior.

Thanks for letting me know that you had a very different experience. I’m glad to hear that. We were there in March, so I have done research, but you can’t always predict Mother Nature.

Some of the resort is, but the resort is so large that depending on how far you want to go between resorts, it may be somewhat difficult. Also, there are not elevators in some of the villas, so you would have to request the ground floor. On the beach, there are handicap spots that have a wooden floor for the wheel chairs.

I haven’t heard of Palace Peninsula. Where exactly is that located?

@@noshoesjusttravelGO Hi there, I think the Palace Peninsula is the most beautiful one and more expensive. It's right in the Hotel Zone.

@@cuongdo9958 I think it boils down to personal preference. We prefer the Riviera Maya area rather than the hotel zone.

We were there in January the last two times we visited.

Yes…it includes alcoholic drinks. There are some specialty items for purchase like bottles of wines at dinner and possibly a specialty drink now and then. Your basics like beer, frozen drinks, margaritas, pina coladas, and all basic mixed drinks are included.

@@1975mabrown We usually tip $10 or $20 especially if the resort is further away from the airport, and if they offer us beer and water.

@@AkashPatel-lo7vg Most of the resorts have vegetarian choices. If you tell them your preferences, they will usually accommodate you.

The resort is large but there are golf carts that can help you navigate if needed. I’d also request a ground floor room because there are not elevators. There are a few areas with steps, but there are some ramps to help you navigate.

I wish it were better, but luckily there are many other resorts to choose from.

@@Emerald-u4m That depends…Adults only, we like the TRS Yucatán Hotel or the Bahia Luxury Akumal. I have videos of both. For a family vacation, we prefer the Iberostar Lindo. There are dozens places to stay in Riviera Maya, so it’s important to find the ones that fit your specific preferences. You have to weigh in how important the beach is versus the pools. Or maybe the quality of food or availability of buffets and bars. For some, the nightlife is important. What do you look for in a resort?

I wish I had a good answer as to why, but our dictionaries in American consider the entree to be the main course. I did some research and found this evolved after the Great Depression and WW II. Meals were simplified and what may have been considered an appetizer in the past became the main course. The change in meaning became custom over the years from what I read.

We like both, but we sure missed Del Mar when we were at Lindo. It was a nice bonus that Del Mar was included.

I’m surprised to hear that! We’ve been there on 3 different occasions and never had an issue. Is this recent occurrence?

I was there last Tuesday. 2-13-2024. I live in Memphis. I'm used to dangerous places. That place was bad.

Oh my! Did you go on an excursion or on your own?

Me and my wife went with scuba carribe and rented a golf cart. We walked for about 3 hours after that. We spent 1 full day there.

Not with the front desk, but close by in the lobby. They are very knowledgeable about the various excursions available in the area. Enjoy! This is one of our favorite resorts!
