Despite my lack of an official diagnosis-I will absolutely 100% die on this hill-I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that I have BPD. Everything about this video describes me to a T. Swapping ‘favorite people’, feeling like a friend is going to abandon me, only for them to comfort me that we can work this through, only for me to fuck them up badly enough that they have to leave behind or suffer the consequences of associating with me, needlessly lashing out at loved ones, or being quiet and lashing out at myself for being too needy, I AM BPD. Extreme mood swings within literal minutes. I have BPD. I need to continue therapy at all costs. If only it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Maybe I’ll just let my emotions take me.

I suppose this could be somewhat representative at my absolute lowest before my diagnoses.. but thankfully with years of therapy and much work I am not as self destructive and reactive. Though I still experience these fluctuations of moods, thoughts, and feelings I have learned to respond in a healthy manner rather than compulsively react.

As someone who’s been in recovery/healing process of the bpd symptoms, looking back post-recovery/healing, I can’t help but notice it’s really just emotional immaturity and emotional intolerance mostly due to trauma ,I’m really glad I’ve practiced and put all my effort into learning the skills to not be like that 🙏

This is accurate. Once i start with the impusles and cheap thrills its hard to stop. When friends have to go home or loved ones leave i feel like i did something wrong and through time i thought that i would have to try harder to keep them around. Also, when i meet new people i make them feel like weve known each other for years and joke around and do stuff. This video is accurate but also, trauma is usually involved. I dwell on some past issue, major issue from time to time that sparks my behavior up again. At times i feel as if i dont know the people im close with. Its a difficult thing for sure but this video sums it up.

the main thing i find innacurate is how quiet this video feels. for me my head is LOUD. its so loud. i’ve never heard it be silent. it’s chaos and it feels like a screaming kettle or somebody screaming/ crying inside a lot of the time. maybe that’s just me

This is exaggerated when it comes to quiet bpd, but I've seen people where this is not even close to how intense it gets.

It's a nightmare to live like this.. But we continue on. Idk why but we do. Love is that strong I guess. They say we're the worst type of people to be around and we'll never get married. But if I can give you some hope I've learned that symptoms don't last forever as long as you abandon bad habits.. Practice convincing yourself to stay quiet when you start thinking black and white. Continue to practice these and you'll slowly blend in with the normal people.

I self diagnose myself with it because there's no professional help in my country (doctors don't know that BPD or ADHD exist) regarding that disorder, i can't even treat it so i have been suffering for my entire life and the only reason why i am still alive is because i am a Muslim who's afraid of hell after committing suicide, this disorder is extremely painful and unbearable.

I definitely don’t agree with this depiction assuming we go right to addiction and knives… I’ve never had addiction issues outside of maybe being addicted to my own suffering. Sometimes my misery is my safe place because it’s familiar, no matter how painful.

Man I don’t have BPD but I can only imagine what it’s like for those who have it, I’m so sorry you all have to struggle like this, it hurts me to see people go through such mental torment and to see people with BPD suffer makes my heart shatter. To whoever is reading this and has BPD, know that your struggles do not define you and that you are valid and your emotions and problems are valid. What you go through is very real and you as an individual matter so much. Never forget who you are and realize that society was not built off normal people but instead was built off unique people with their own struggles and challenges. So instead of hating yourself learn to embrace your unique qualities learn to become comfortable with you. Because at the end of the day there’s no one truly like you ❤️❤️❤️🫶🏼 I love you all and am wishing you all a very wonderful day/night.
