Had a great little fathers day outing this weekend. Ray Rocks is only an hour from my house and we had never been so we loaded up the family truckster (and the Rzr) and headed to Rayville Missouri. Proud blue 2023 Talon 1000X4 owner here. Our first UTV and we love it. Never thought I'd be a Honda owner, but here I am.

My wife suffers from migraines I’m trying to find a quieter machine I was hoping you were going to say it was quiet compared to cvt.
unfortunately no. That was my hope as well. I will say you can operate it more quietly. If you are under 30mph you can gear up into 5th or 6th with RPMs low its relatively quiet. But if you are into it in is LOUD. Thw whine really increases around 35 MPH

yea I could see that, but not the case. You can see where it was pinched and you could see where dust had entered through the bottom. glad I didn't take it in any water!

I literally just bought a Polaris bus bar and plugs off Amazon for my talon. Works awesome!
Where did you mount it? Part of the appeal of the Honda was the mounting solution.

I got the exact accessories are break in me. But once it's done I should be pretty good. The accessories, do you make a difference? Dirt road fabricators. Make the best tailgreat on the have A long lead time, but well worth it.Check it out

That foam filter works the best with belray foam oil. Use rubber gloves and dunk it in oil. Work the oil into the filter with fingers and squeeze out the excess.
A sharp chisel works well for the hole in foam and leaves it nice and flat for the pads to stick to

I very much agree that it feels nimble compared to the RZR and KRX.
2 years ago, I had a miss. Only when the engine warmed up. I ohmed out the spark plug caps, and they were bad. The coil was also getting weak. I bought a new oem coil as well as ngk caps, and it was back to normal.
I had the old fireball AARMS with 3/2 off set. Worked really well. But i just put up a video of my new Fireball AARMS. The new AARMS are wider than the older version. So I will be buying 4/1 off set. I kinda had a feeling because before I took the bike down for powdercoat, I measured the tie rods, and they were 1.5 inch longer.

Seems like it works pretty well to me! KRX is a tank though.
I went with a 1000R as well. I really like it.
I owned a brand new 2014 Kawasaki ZX14 Ninja (the fastest and most powerful bike at the time with 1400 cc). I babied that bike and treated her like a princess. Not even 1K miles and the engine randomly blew up while I was on the freeway. Luckily, it was still under warranty and Kawi replaced the engine. However, I vowed to never buy another Kawasaki machine ever again after I sold it. I love the look of the KRX and love how tanky it is, but I just don't trust Kawasaki reliability anymore. I'm a Honda guy now. A proud Talon owner.
How do you like the transmission over the cvt. Does it seem like it is always in the right gear.
It’s not bad. It’s lackadaisical in normal mode and pretty aggressive in sport mode. I love that if you are unhappy with it you can just click the paddle to get what you want. The big difference is you feel way more connected to the machine without the rubber band. Very responsive.

Did you use the 9 watt or 3 watt lights ? In the reviews it says the 9 get very hot and melt plastic, have you had this issue ? Thank you
probably the 3, they dont get hot at all. When I made this video there was only 1 option.

Thanks for the video. I just changed my fluids and didnt lift the quad onto its side. Needless to say i put 350ml in and a lot came back out. local dealer said to just fill it until it weeps but i'm pretty sure half the oil came back out. i may use the on its side approach and redo. Guess i should invest in a service manual.

You know what? It up and died on her the other day, and my mind went there first when it would not start, I pulled it all off and it made no difference. Turns out the battery just died. New battery and back in business.

@@markhitchcock459 for the record, the set I have on my Albas have been sitting unused. I put ITPs back on my Banshee. I have been running GBCs on my Raptor with Douglas wheels with no issue. Not sure how a wheel would chew them up faster though unless there were balance issues. My biggest issue with the Albas is the weight.
