A320 PTU Operating Logic (please check description for additional info)
*NOTE: One point I missed out on mentioning at the end there is that there were some in service events where during Gear Retraction, a leak in the G system would cause a G PUMP LO PR, and the LO LVL and LO PR ECAMs being inhibited below 1500 feet, the PTU would run automatically (the ECAMs had they not been inhibited during this phase would have asked the crew to turn off the PTU) leading to a Dual Hyd Loss scenario as mentioned. To mitigate this scenario, in addition to the 6 second inhibit Logic, another modification was to automatically turn off the PTU below 1500 ft.

    How do I make it stop because when Im ready for take off it doesn’t allow me to add flaps it automatically cancels my flaps from going down

  • @abingdonboy
    @abingdonboy 7 месяцев назад

    So why wouldn’t you just retract the flaps once you’re above S speed which is 207 here? You could’ve been clean at the speed constraint

    • @320intheseat
      @320intheseat 7 месяцев назад

      Because GreenDot is 239 and waypoint speed constraint is AT 220 kts.

      @@320intheseatyes but S speed and accelerating is when you can call for flaps 0, what does green dot have to do with cleaning up? You could be at 220 clean right? Genuine question as I’d like to know for my own configuration planning

    • @320intheseat
      @320intheseat 7 месяцев назад

      @@abingdonboy maintaining 220 clean would mean maintaining speed below green dot in clean configuration which is not recommended. GreenDot is ‘minimum clean speed’ (L/D max)

      @@320intheseat thanks very much, that makes sense, just started like training so this was one of the things I was trying to figure out

    • @320intheseat

      green dot is L/D max. Flying below GD clean would put us at the ‘back side of the power curve’ (having to increase thrust to maintain a lower speed) also would put us close to VLS (which would increase during a turn possible putting us inside VLS)
