53 Vette Walkaround
Welcome to my channel, where I like to build Lowrider & Custom styled model cars. Mostly in 1 24th and 1 25th scales. I take inspiration from fellow builders, what I see online and as well what I can dream up.
Coming into this video, the 53 Vette was nameless, but I am leaning towards the name "Fades 2 Blue."" Let me know your thoughts on that.
This build marks my first completed project on UK soil, and I had a lot of fun with this one. With all my hobby tools, detail pieces, and tricks still in a container and in the middle of the ocean, I was limited to my supplies and had to dust off my old tricks book. I made it work and got the model completed in time to display at the 2024 Telford M...

FERRARI 250L. A Warning to the purists!
Просмотров 61813 дней назад
Project Ferrari 250L. L for Lowrider. This is the start of a project that has been on my mind for a few months now. My wife and I wondered around Telford this year and I was on the hunt for an old Ferrari kit to turn into a custom Lowrider build. We unfortunately didn't find any kits that would work at the show so I had to go online in search of something to use as a base for the build. On retu...

About to start a new build and I need your help and suggestions. I don't know where to start and I think I have the colour choice right but even that I could be wrong. Calling all scale car modelers for your guidance. Thanks for the support

Looks good. Love the two tone good job on the black
Thanks for the sub
I'm Diggin it!
Awesome
Skyline looks great Alex I don’t use that paint so can’t help and there’s not a thing wrong with your videos watch one of mine you’ll feel better 😱🤣👍🏻
Haha Jeff you always come with those kind words. Glad you liking the skyline.
Alexander Salomon 👍🏻😂🤣
That Nismo looks fantastic in white and you are well on your way to show winning finishes, I am no where near there yet. I mainly concentrate on using acrylics for my models so I have no history with the Tamiya lacquers, don't believe they are available in Canada yet. Cheers and great job
True North you to kind brother haha Thanka for the encouragement. I am excited to give these a try and give you all some feedback.
the paint looks great and i dont use that brand of paint so cant be any help sorry
Thanks Eddie. What paint do you use? 😊
Are use testers aztek for the air brush or house of color or duplicate perfect match that’s a spray can paint
Great video brother awesome paint work keep up the awesome work brother
Thanks Thomas. I'm happy with the results so far. Can't wait to do the interior 😁
choosing to continue on with the build instead of stripping off , is a sign of a true professional. its nice to know the purple pond is there if we need it. but even the greatest chefs need to burn a few cakes every now and then .
Haha the purple pond 🤣 my rx7 I stripped 3 times before I was happy... And I'm going wtf am I doing cos I am not learning anything. So i decided to change where I was painting and got a much better result. It's about finding a working combo 🎨
Nice glossy finish on your model. Been using automotive acrylic lacquers but finding them harder to obtain. Thanks for the information on the new Tamiya range.
Thanks wud b. I'm excited to try these new paints out. Will keep everyone informed on how that goes. 🙏
Skyline looks really nice, I have one bottle of Tamiya lacquer but haven't tried it yet, you can get the Google translate app and translate the bottle, you scan it with the app, I've had to do that on some Mr Hobby products, :) Tom
Hey Tom. I never even thought of that. Haha that's what's going down next 👍. Thanks brother
Sema Build is Beautiful Paint, KUTGW n God Bless All
Thanks Gary. Getting there slowly 🙏😁
Paint job looks awesome. Thanks for the update, Ron
Thanks Ron 👍
love your build when I spray the other tamiya paint never thin it. I would open the bottle and stir it and see if it drips off the stick than its good to go threw the airbrush. I would mist coat it and build it up until you have a gloss finish than stop
Thanks John for the comment. It looks like alot of guys haven't tried these new paints. Can't wait to try these 👍

Thanks Colonel for your view and comment. It's been a busy but fun few weeks, I'm excited to be doing some work that's been challenging. 😁
Both of those are looking great Alex, have fun with the Mustang, :) Tom
Hey Tom Thanks for your view and comment. The mustang I think will be a fun build and they have potential to be hotted up or built clean... Any suggestions?
Both builds look great and don't sell yourself short Alex, you are doing a great job with the builds and every kit is a learning experience. Keep going. Cheers
Thanks for your view and comment True North. I'm going to say I'm my biggest critique but we all are, your encouragement is awesome. 👌
It is a great community for sure... your builds are looking super clean
Thanks Dwayne for your kind words. Clean is always my main goal. 👍
Great looking builds, I really like the blue car. Keep up the great work and have a great day.
Thanks chopper. Have a great day 👍
Good update. Glsd you're feeling better.
Thanks Charles. 👍😁
Hey, first and foremost, keep it fun...many ways to build, got some great suggestions already from others...but at worst, after soaking the kit in warm, soapy water and air drying, just begin at Step 1 and go from there...time and patience, buddy....and hey, nothing wrong with drink a brew and chatting to the community....Cheers!!!
You sure are making a great start my friend. Thank you.
Thanks for your support Wud B 👍
very good video, I will follow you to see your next videos. Regards my friend

Welcome to the coumminty brother we are one big happy family subbed your channel keep up the awesome work
Hey Thomas thanks for the encouragement and welcoming. Happy to be here and happy to share my work with you all. 🙏
You're subbed. Tourist Town Models sent me.👍
Thanks Charlie. Tourist town sent a whole bunch of great peeps to the channel. Yay 👍
Alex. The beauty of model building is it is personal. I wash my trees first to remove the mold lubricant. Just soak in soap and water. Sometimes I will prime all the parts on a specific tree. Others I will prime and paint individually. Prep the body by sanding any mold flash. It's personal preference and sometimes trial and error. Some times I have to sand the edges free of paint that I'm gluing together to bond them more securely. As far as detail goes start small and go from there. I get bogged down in detail sometimes and it becomes frustrating. If you are just starting out the numbered steps in the instructions are a good guide to follow. The more you build the more you will become comfortable with doing what you want when you want. Sometimes you just have to have at it and learn as you go. Cheers mate.
Jay you are so right. It's all an experience game. You guys have paid your dues and that's why you can give us nubes all the advice in the world. Thanks for your guidance and your push to actually just give it a shot and hey if it's a mess up then just change it up. alex
Alex Ive only been building for about a year so I'm learning too. Each model you finish will add experience. If you get a chance to find cheap garage sale models or flea market models to practice on so cost isn't as much of a factor do that if you can. Keep building. Jay
@@touristtownmodels-jay906 that's a valid point. Most of my fun builds have been from kits that were given to me... So the financial part of the kit isn't an issue so I have that freedom to explore. I'm hoping I can receive a bit of assistance in getting parts over to my side of the pond for a little cheaper then I'm seeing online. For example Noone sells aftermarket wheels and tires here and I would love to do some wheel swaps on some cars. Anyone keen to be a shipper for me?
Subbed your channel, looking forward to your videos, I decant the TS laquers, I don't thin themalways sprayed well, nice airbrush, Enjoy the hobby my friend, Tom
Hey Tom thanks for the ts tip and kind words. I love your work 🙏
Nice builds man I'm looking in to getting a skyline welcome to the community I'm subbing your channel and looking forward to seeing more of your builds!!!
Thanks Brando. You should definitely do so, they a fun and Inexpensive kit, throw on some wheels and you can really go to town on them. Subbed your channel back. 🙏
Good day Alex. I noticed you subscribed to my channel. I've viewed your vids and would like to say welcome to the community. I've returned the sub. There are a lot of folks who enjoy this hobby for a host of reasons and skill levels which makes the community a melting pot of diversity as it relates to our commonality in model building. It's nice to be a part of something where we can all learn and share with each other. Hope to see more from you.
MOST important: It's your kit, your build, do what you feel is right, do your own color :), Will be waiting for an update ^^, i still haven't done that exact model but have done a few other Porches, but ultimately, it's your model, do how you see and think is best for you
Thanks Vamp. Your comment and suggestions are great. Will have an update soon on this build. Have a few others on the go I want to put up.
