This controller is a piece of junk. I had it when it was released, the first firmware was a delight. Fuck if it was 250 Hz, the controller was perfect, it was LINEAR and now, after so many changes to the firmware, it's shit.
Just to say, I play on PC and Xbox, my favorite controller is the DualSense Edge and it's a thousand times better than my Xbox Elite 2 and my standard Xbox. The 1000 resolution on the Xbox controllers ends up making them too slow, while my DualSense Edge has an average resolution of 124 and is linear. Basically, I can play Easy with Aim Assist off and 0 dead zones.
The G7 is NOT as good as the SE. HALL EFFECT sticks and triggers on the SE whereas the normal G7 does NOT have Hall effect sticks. I have them both. Can confirm.
This is bull shit 1000hz polling rate is working on my Xbox just switch between the different polling rates on pc and plug it into your console and you will feel the difference between 250hz and 1000hz 👍
Ok just base on 1 game saying to not buy it is a bit premature. Maybe after a week of gaming give a more informed opinion. Obviously its gonna be uncomfortable but understand you are changing your whole wrist position that u have been playing for years. So and hour or two its not enough. Just giving you honest feedback if you are going to do future reviews. Other than that, keep em coming
@@JonathanRodriguez-rl7ph I appreciate your feedback! ♥️ I try to keep videos as short as possible so they are easier to watch so it may seem I haven't tried it for long enough, but I did spend about 4-5 hours in total trying multiple games and still came to the same conclusion. Like I said though the newer designs are a lot better and may be better than a standard mouse

I thought 1000Hz worked on Xbox because on the Nexus app on the profile page it says in red Please use the PC to switch the report rate to 250Hz on both my G7SE and G7HE
@@davidhughes1275 Yes it can be very misleading but the Xbox simply cannot input a polling rate more than 250hz and a lot of controllers are actually only 125hz
@INTHEARKADE Cheers for the info fella makes sense that Microsoft would cap the limit to 250Hz. So if I leave it set to 1000Hz then it will still run at 250Hz regardless
Can confirm the G7SE runs faster at the higher polling rate on Xbox. When setting the polling rate to 250hz vs 1000hz, there is a NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE in response time. It does work. Not as well as PC, but it does work. I’ve been using the G7SE for over a year.

@@Coverpage2568 Yes that's normal, I think it uses the headphones jacks input to send the controller signal and that's how it does it faster
Hey! I play Warzone on an Xbox Series X. I just ordered this controller and it’s coming in on Tuesday. I have a laptop, no PC. Should I just plug & play w/ the controller? Or do you recommend I do something with this software before playing? I’m not very techy, but I can manage by following videos lol And just for the sake of getting the info… If I were to overclock it on Xbox at 1000hz, how would I use a gaming headset? Would I need to purchase a wireless headset w/ a USB dongle since the 1000hz disables the headphone jack?
@@frankgagliardi3363 Great controller so you'll love it! Just plug and play for Xbox. Download the game sir app and check it's up to date. You can't overclock on Xbox anyway it's max 250hz so you can still use your headset

There are the controllers I would highly recommend besides the Gamesir G7. Guilikit KK3 pro-Max (4 paddles come on and off like elite 2, Hall Effect Sticks 0.002 dead zones, Trigger Locks, 1000hz polling rate,Gyro like the dualsense and more. Flydigi Vader 4 pro this is the best of the best it has everything the KK3 pro max has but also it has adjustable tension on the sticks and mecha tacticle buttons. There's also the Flydigi Apex wukong edition currently only available in Aliexpress for 160$ its similar to the Vader 4 pro but you get a few more quirks and a very nice and I mean it nice rubber grip. All those controllers That I listed above are much better than Scuf, Elite, Dualsense, and most other western brands you've tried.

I’ve been using this controller since launch - easy fix to trigger stops ! Just screw two round headed screw just under the two triggers bang done also don’t use metal elite thumb sticks to heavy for the SE purchase the victrix gambit sticks from eBay the tall shaft for £3 done .. also I purchased some grip tape and applied that .. use ps5 control freak on the left hand side

Love this controller! I just use the default sticks but i know people dislike them. Also have you tried switching to 1000 hz in game sir app on pc. Then on xbox it should still be 1000hz input. Disables audio but u can get around that. Black ops 6 is coming so id like to know how 1000 hz feels on cod! lmk bro ty. Ive been killing on xdefiant on 1000hz xbox sx but idk if its placebo or not lol

Looking forward to BO6 dropping very soon, especially with the whole new movement system! I've just got a Gamesir G7 SE for my Xbox Series X and I'm using some Scuf Instinct Pro sticks that are also plastic shaft not metal. I didn't know anything about the overclocking on PC to 1000Hz and It keeps this settling for Xbox so thanks for the heads up chaps 👍
@INTHEARKADE seems I've just switched my Xbox Series X on and the Gamesir Nexus app updated by itself and the message I had in red under the overclocked profile I use use to have a message underneath in red saying Please use the PC to switch the report rate to 250Hz has disappeared so looks like overclocking for console is now a thing of the past
@@davidhughes1275 I’ve given this some testing myself. The controller has the profile onboard so a lot of people assume when you set it to 1000hz then it stays like that on console aswell, but the Xbox won’t let it poll that fast so even though it stays at 1000hz it’s actually only 250hz
@@INTHEARKADE that would actually be wrong because if it still disables the audio on the xbox then means the controller is using a 1000hz. That controller can’t use audio with 1000hz enabled. Its the firmware in the controller that caps it not the xbox. Thats why every controller is capped besides this controller and another but can’t think of the name.
My controller maxs are at 36 min 20 with hair trigger on the right trigger and i havent had issues on mine? Maybe that helps. Also dropped the hz and it fixed other issues

@@ReZAmPz Yeah I tested this on two Gamesir G7 SE controllers and the exact same thing happens. It’s the metal magnetic thumbsticks I got. But as long as you get the plastic ones everything is perfect

The elite 2 series has almost everything feels good & software but the input delay is bad not as responsive & also stick drift after some time
@@Reoz_14 You’re right, feels great but too heavy in my opinion. Mine hasn’t got stick drift yet so it’s definitely better than some controllers but will eventually suffer with it

Analog sticks are the downfall of all controllers imo. Im not wasting anymore money on controllers with analog sticks when they all start drifting in about a month or two

I was the same, was using the powera, but I was going through one every ranked season. If it wasn't one of the sticks failing, it was one of the triggers. But dam I loved how responsive those cheap controllers are. I then went for a battle beaver...and what a joke. The back buttons failed after about a month. $300 Aussie that controller was, couldn't be bothered sending it overseas to be fixed. Controller was just an original Xbox controller with cheap modifications. I then got this controller and I'm 3 ranked seasons in and nothing about it has changed. But it just isn't as snappy as the power A, it's a bit sluggish in my opinion. But I've adapted and am use to it, but I find it doesn't have as accurate snap to it. Never got the 1000hz working on Xbox, unless you want to play without sound...and the sound that comes from the controller terrible compared to pretty much any controller Ive used....but at least it doesn't buckle...and it's cheap as chips too.
@@bigdaddy5303 So much money wasted on garbage.. trust me I’ve probably spent over $600 in the last year on controllers. Im glad the gamesir is working for you! I think its just about finding the right balance. I still say now I would rather play with a PowerA controller because they feel amazing when new, but 3 months in and it gets sloppy 👎🏽

@@Brandoncoopper lots of people using the dualsense edge, some great reviews! I’ve been using Xbox controllers for over 10 years but if I was coming from ps4/5 then I would have definitely considered that one
I haven't used many third party controllers, but i decided to order their new HE model of this controller. Hopefully it lives up to the SE. Looking forward to using a controller that has working buttons and no stick drift at least haha
The HE is a great choice also! I’m not sure if it has the 1ms overclock option but even standard it’s still really responsive thanks to the micro switches
@@INTHEARKADE the recently released Kalid Xbox is overclockable to 500 Hz. At a 1000 it isnt regocniyed as an Xbox Controller anzmore. Needs to be done with the PC Software
@@elhomoflow 500hz is still way better than most other options, I only picked the g7 se for this video because you don’t need any tools to put on the extended analog sticks, which means anyone can do this and it won’t affect any warranties
@@INTHEARKADE Gamesir does awesome controllers at a very competitive price. Only thing I’m missing is for back buttons and maybe trigger stops, but rapid triggers are almost as good so I don’t mind that. And it’s 50 bucks when you get it cheap. Never will I buy and Elite Controller again
I started with the original xbox elite controller which was awful, and eventually got the PowerA Fusion which I've used for the last 5 years. It's still great but time to replace. Thinking about this one or another PowerA controller with the same thumbstick mod
@@justind4763 I love the power A controllers, but they just don’t last 😭 I was going to opt for the fusion pro 3 but figured the lower latency on this one would be a smarter move for the games I play
