Hey there. I tried to do the same approach you showed with your dragon at the end with the support chains in between the Wing Fingers for my Dragon model while using Rigify (Wings are modeled back outward and near the X-Axis line) and it was causing the wing membranes on the opposite side to tear into each other during Pose Mode when I Rotate or Scale the nearby Wing controls. It was until I removed the support chains between the Wing Hand's Fingers that the tearing in that region stopped. The support chains before the back, the Elbow Wing Finger and the Wing Hand's pinky finger seem to be deforming alright without the tearing issues like in-between the Wing Hand fingers. Not sure at the moment how else to put in support chain bones there without the awkward tearing...Re-modeling the wings to be positioned farther away from the X-Axis line would probably be the solution but my dragon stands upright in a T-Pose and probably shouldn't break the Wings' Y-Axis modeling pose just yet... Anyway, interesting tutorial and I did gave it a try. Subbed!

Great tutorial I’m just having confusion at 5:54 -5:57 after you added the CTLS to a new collection, got them to move in opposite directions at the same time. Is mine supposed to do that bc it’s not doing that.

I honestly think you did great job on the model. And the additional transformation animation is a nice work too... I still like animated transformation tho, I'm sorry but that can't change my mind.

At 3:58 Shift R doesn't seem to be doing anything with the rig when I select the bones. Bit stumped.

Is it possible to easily create an archer - rig it, then separately a bow also rig it and after that combine it somehow to make it look like he is shooting from a knee?

When I try to parent the armature to the mesh, it says Bone Heat Weighting and posing the armature does nothing to the mesh.

I don't get it, in Blender 4.1 under Armature there isn't any single bones... damn I'm struggling to move from 3DS Max to Blender but it's a pain in the a$$ 😥 [Edit] by adding rigfy addon into the preference the sub-menu under Armature appear! :)

I attempted to follow full rigging tutorial while using Blender 4.0.2. Unfortunately, I was unable to copy transforms for the left DRV foot bone to the DRV knee bone and the DRV foot bone simply didn't move to the DRV knee bone before adjusting the "head/tail". Ultimately, I believe this video tutorial is not for everyone attempting to comply rigging for their projects.

Please make longer and more in-depth tutorials of doing muscle, skin, fat etc. simulation in Blender for complex photo-real biped and quadruped characters, there aren't any resources for this in Blender available online.

Nice tutorial! I struggelt with symmetrise, because everything lost the weights and some connections, so I doubled the work. Which was good for learning, but not so good for fast progress. Any idea what I did wrong?

Tangent handles! in every BB tutorials I`ve watched were used absolute handles, therefore there is no fast way to bend the bone with start handle. Unless you use tangent handle! Thank you man for this)

if youre using blender 4.2.1 LTS and alt-clicking the checkbox doesnt do anything, untick it normally and then right click on it -> copy to selected

Don't listen to the haters. I love short, dense instruction videos like this. Yeah, I'm never going to 100% grok it on the first pass -- but that is also true of long-winded rambling instructionals. When it's short and sweet like this, it doesn't hurt so much so wind it back and watch sections over again.
