There are a lot of arguments for publicly owned health care if it gets enough money and the regulation is reasonable. In Hungary, I have it in principle, but it doesn't work in practice. You have to wait months for even a simple examination, if you have the money, you'd rather go to a privately owned service provider. Therefore, a large part of the population falls out of care, because even the diagnosis is delayed by months, and you have to wait years for a possible operation. This is the responsibility of the current governments.

Ren - you are spot on in your analysis. I had 40 years working in health & social care always believing that if only I had a good enough position I could change the system from within…. Instead constant dissonance between what I was expected to do and reality was so depleting that I now spend my retirement trying to recover. The system is broken and anti-human. Man, it's a fucking shit show. The FDA are a criminal organisation for real, It's a real funked up situation when the only regulator happens to be a subsection of the FDA. It seriously dangerous. The only market that works for the people is a free market otherwise we will end up in a communist regime where nobody has any rights, I believe if we look at the Economic Forum's plans for the future we are looking down the barrel of a communist style set up which scares the fucking shit out of me. The NHS was an impressive organisation once upon a time apparently, but now like Ren said funds are redirected towards other non-beneficial alliances. Greed is a sin and yet if people are to become even more nihilistic and self-serving we are going to end up in some kind of living hell. There is a film just out called "First do no Pharm" I would recommend everyone who has the means to watch it does so. It's about Big Pharma and how it values wealth over health. The only good thing about 2020-2022 was it opened people's eyes to how corrupt people in power actually are. Old Rishi had a stupidly large investment in a pharmaceutical company that made no products until covid happened. That company made millions in profits. Such a coincidence to invest millions in a practical start up. Obviously Rishi has a sick sense or something. Fuck it, I've gone off! sorry but it makes me really upset thinking about all those people who are needlessly suffering. I'm so sorry that you are going through thus Ren.
