I’ve spent a lifetime coping with my chronic illness & being the carer of a child, now a young adult, with complex chronic health conditions. Without access to the NHS we’d not be here; it’s that simple; but over the years the decline of our healthcare system has grown increasingly significant & detracted from quality of care. The NHS is a life-saving, essential part of our public services, but it’s struggling & limping along due to under funding, cutbacks, abuse by a minority of service users, short-sighted organisational policy changes & politicising issues for personal gain etc. It’s so sad & deeply concerning to see. I hope that our NHS can become great again. I for one am grateful to you Ren for using your platform to shed light upon these issues, and for sharing your music with so many of us who have had very similar health experiences. As you said chronic illness can be a desperately lonely, hopeless & frustrating thing to cope with. Migraine medical breakthroughs came about in 2018 because ppl were fed up with being sick all the time. I never thought I’d be able to do the things that I do daily! You inspire and walk the walk! Ren you are right to Doctors money is more important then what the person needs. My Doctor was suffering he almost died he needed to be operated on right away he said not one Doctor came to him because they took everyone first for their insurance. He said he almost died they came to get him 11:00 pm health in the US is as bad as anywhere else. You are a big help to us in the medical profession Ren. Even my Doctor was told by insurance company's every visit is10 minutes only! that my Doctor will not do. Love you Ren your health's more important than anything else. Instead constant dissonance between what I was expected to do and reality was so depleting that I now spend my retirement trying to recover. The system is broken and anti-human. So so (tragically & sadly) true - still working in the health industry (nearing 30 yrs) and suffered a complete emotional breakdown 8 years ago trying desperately to “change” things towards the patient again. Now dealing with severe ‘mandatory covid vaccine induced’ CVID requiring gammaglobulin weekly injections & a physical/mental battle to fight through. It’s all so broken 😞 (I’m in Australia but it’s a global crisis)

Healthcare and the pharmaceutical industries should not be driven by profit. These essential services should be funded through taxes, ensuring that everyone has access to care without the burden of financial exploitation. There are plenty of other sectors where capitalism can thrive, but profiting off people's health needs is inhumane. Those who prioritize making money over saving lives are behaving like monsters.
There are a lot of arguments for publicly owned health care if it gets enough money and the regulation is reasonable. In Hungary, I have it in principle, but it doesn't work in practice. You have to wait months for even a simple examination, if you have the money, you'd rather go to a privately owned service provider. Therefore, a large part of the population falls out of care, because even the diagnosis is delayed by months, and you have to wait years for a possible operation. This is the responsibility of the current governments.
I have no idea what your going through but my grandchildren have type1 diabetes and celiac so I know how they get sometimes. It's awfull the way some illnesses are not treated. Please look after yourself and keep as well as you can and rest.❤🏴✌️👍

Unfortunately, the NHS should have money to function. But there is so much being directed into management companies and bureaucratic finagling (who are all in it for the money). The money is not going to the provision of healthcare. The same is happening in education and socioeconomic development.
But people borrow hundreds of thousands of dollars and ten years of study to become doctors. They deserve compensation for all those years of hard work. They can and do donate time and money to the less fortunate but to work for the same wages as a waitress is not fair. They deserve fair compensation for their hard work
