Did quite a loop around the city over upper NY Bay then over south Brooklyn then central queens them a hard left past the us open tennis stadium then past citi field then wheels on the ground .

I seem to always land from the north over the east bronx then over the Whitestone bridge and land on the runway next to Rikers Island Prison.

The over simplified and under appreciated gift of flight is the real superstar in this video.

Most New Yorkers see this video, they'd wonder what's the big deal. Non-New Yorkers are awe struck, ha. There wasn't a whole lot of chatter on this plane. Usually there's talking, coughing, laughing and of course the idiots who bring a crying baby on board. Looked for the statue of liberty but couldn't see it.

Yeah landing at LaGuardia gives u a preview of the great city u are about to encounter! Good luck!

The video was absolutely breathtaking. I loved the descent and the "tour" of NYC the pilot gave. Those engines were really humming. Now that's what flying is about.

Fantastic view. Interesting to see NYC in context of surrounding landscape. Something you don't see at all. Just the same views of lower Manhattan mostly. Actually looked small.

Please never take it down. 😊🌞 The accompanying plane sounds are great: The acceleration before landing gear extension, Flaps extensions, Engine thrust adjustments, Final Touchdown, etc. There was no passenger noise to get in the way. Maybe, like me, they were simply enjoying watching this approach and landing. 🤗 P.S. That steep left turn around *Shea Stadium* (oops CitiField) is one of my favorite approaches. (Btw 7:27 Let's Go Mets!) I've watched it numerous times in flight -- sometimes while sitting on the wrong side of the plane 😭 -- and billions of times from the ground looking up, because I live in *Queens* (but also because I was born and raised in *Manhattan* where I lived on a high floor on *125th Street* , which literally faces straight west to *Runway 13* ). 🤗

Landed at LaGuardia from Dallas a few years ago. That had to be the best view of the city hands down. I had pretty much the same view coming in for the landing. What I noticed was a bit more turbulence as we got closer to the ground. Apparently that was from all the massive development and density surrounding the airport. The buildings actually affect the air flow and wind to the point that it rattles the plane.
