Started from Atari 2600 Jr and now after all these years, if this actually happens, I will be saying goodbye to consoles and gaming forever. I guess best thing to do is teo buy HDD’s and SDDs, install all the games you already have on disc and their updates and keep them for future use. Cause when those servers shut down and when the PS store for the console expires, you aint gonna be able to play any of them even if you hve the discs

I was fooled by the series s thinking it was like the Xbox one S design with a few changes but basically the same console due to the price. You know how fucking pissed I was when it had no disc drive & had only 300gb of storage for a bloody all digital console. now I had no Xbox one as it broke & now am stuck with a bunch of games I was playing not being available because my disc drive no exist.

I feel like this is one of the moments were Nintendo being super conservative as they are may help physical media stay alive or atleast take a little longer before its all gone, they were stubborn of just changing from cartridges to discs and they are still holding on to that even to this day with the Switch being cartridges, so i feel like as long as they are in a good spot like with the Switch right now they will keep with the physical media, unless they end up having a flop like it was with the N64 that forced them to go into discs

I purchased a Samsung S90C 77” a couple weeks ago and although I do like it I find that when watching regular television shows and lower quality older movies it doesn’t look as good as the 10 year old Samsung 4k it replaced and no matter how I set the motion clarity settings I still get weird blurr on peoples faces when they just make regular movements not even fast paced. I considered trying an LG C3 but also considering trying the Hisense U8N behind you or like you mentioned the newer TCL QM8. How does the motion and lower quality content processing on the U8N compare to the Samsung oleds you’ve had?

The Xbox 1 is my last game console

I'm looking for the best budget 75" TV for a TV stand that is only 48" wide. I won't be doing a lot of gaming, just mostly movies and network TV. I currently have an older Samsung 50" 120Hz that has served me well, it's just time to upgrade.

This is something I've had an issue with for a while now. Even if you purchase a game today on physical media you technically could have that game taken from you if Microsoft or whoever suddenly decide not to host the downloadable files on their servers. I even picked up a PS4 really cheap lately, and to play COD which was included in the package the system forced me to do a full download of all the DLC and online crap before it would allow me to play campaign mode. So the days of actually having the full game right out of the box ended a while ago anyway. Whilst I personally don't have an issue with digital download only media, I think there needs to be some assurances that the media you buy today will still be available on future generations. Which of course will never happen, companies like Rockstar and Bethesda have made millions even billions by selling us the same game over what is now 3 console generations (GTA V and Skyrim respectively to name but two)

So it's gonna be the absolute last generation of consoles. For me at least. The future of gaming is unfortunately on PC sales. I'm not gonna buy bits from the internet at full price. Never. I have bought one new game at full price digitally and I'm still pissed because of that as they released the game physically later even though they were not supposed to. That game was Baldurs gate 3.

It’s not that convoluted, Samsung s90d in US the 42 inch 48 inch and 83 inch are WOLED last 4 of model is EXZA and the 55,65,77 are QDOLED LAST 4 are FXZA.

Va panels are not ideal for competitive gaming, since they have a lot of smearing/ghosting in near-black transitions, where on the other hand OLEDs have instantaneous response time and perfect transitions across the whole VRR range and they dont need any overdrive to work flawlessly, so for movie watching and occasional couch gaming a VA mini-led will be sufficient, but for next-level competitive gaming with unmatched response times and infinite contrast, OLED is pretty much the pinnacle. Not to mention potential quality and reliability issues with TCL and Hisense, firmware bugs, also you have to constantly enable/disable local dimming if you plan on using it as a pc monitor etc...

PS6 will have disc drive

seeing these big companies downplay physical medium when there's still a audience that still support physical shows we're living in dark times imo.

You sound like you have experience with a lot of different televisions that I’ve considered so I’m going to ask your opinion. I just bought and set up a SAMSUNG S90C 77” OLED and I like the picture but nothing has really wowed me so far. I came from a 10 year old Samsung 4k edge lit that in my opinion seem to have better upscaling on all lower grade content etc… I was debating between this S90C and an LG C3 and SONY A80L. I don’t plan on gaming a lot on it I’d rather use this TV for living room and mainly streaming movies and Sports etc… I have a few more weeks to evaluate and return or exchange so I’m curious is the LG C3 or Sony A80L a better choice for mainly streaming and upscaling and motion etc..?

The only reason that would happen is so that ppl hive up their pa3s , amd then they'll be able to make you download whatever they want on your expensive ps5 to keep your ps3 collection alive. They'll habe you paying hundreds of dollars to download an update that will allow you to keep playing ps3 games and it'll become monthly after a while. So tell yourself it will be a good idea and ill watch ot blow u in your face. The gaming industry is really dying idc how hardcore of a fan you are of anything thats new release these days, i dont spend any money on this garbage amd will go back to pirating.

I have a Hisense U8G 65” for my living room and it has performed really well. I’m currently doing my research for a new tv for my bedroom and want a 55” so I can only get the QM7 or the U8N the 55” U8N though from what I’m hearing is not even remotely close to the 65” so that’s very disappointing. I may consider the U7N as well Currently waiting for some more reviews and info on the QM7 before I make the purchase

The best not shut down these servers I stay playing battlefield 4 to this day.. battlefield 3 and 4 are still to this day the better battlefields smh battlefield 2042 is garbage even on there I play on custom servers that allow me to play battlefield 3 maps and loadouts

I still own and play my PS4 Pro console due to financial reasons the same time this economy inflation will not leave no time soon. Until either they cut the price or they will stop making ps4 games I’ll will transition to the PlayStation 5 console.
