I primarily shoot LSRC trains on the Lake State Railway's Huron Subdivision in Michigan and when I get the chance to travel around I post other rail lines I catch. I've created playlists on the channel that have all the railroads and LSRC lines I've caught so far. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
A Short GLC Chase Through Boyne Falls and Clarion Michigan

LSRC GP38-3 4201 Leads Limestone Boulders South Out of Alpena Michigan
Просмотров 29514 дней назад
With it currently being the winter season on the LSRC's Huron Sub that usually means traffic slows down and stone stops running till the ground thaws in the spring. This winter though Specification Stone is in fact shipping product down south in the form of limestone boulders loaded into gondolas. To top off catching this new traffic on the move, LSRC's GP38-3 4201 was the lead engine on this t...
A Smashed Locomotive Window and a Long Hood Forward Chase to Alpena Michigan on 1/3/25
Просмотров 35821 день назад
LSRC 4325 was on the head end of train 327N up to Alpena Michigan when it snagged a down power wire causing a transformer to smash into the back window. Luckily the crew was alright, the impact broke the back window of 4325 and even broke the door handle off. A single GP40M-3 being kept in Alpena as yard power had to come rescue the train leading it long hood forward back to Alpena which is a r...

A Quick Chase of LSRC's 2024 Santa Train and CN in the Upper Peninsula
Просмотров 159Месяц назад
Starting the day off I chased Lake State Railway's 2024 Santa train from Standish to Saint Helen Michigan. After that I heard there had been a GECX unit leading CN A451 up to Sault Ste. Marie for the past week so I decided to take a chance and head up there to see if I could catch that. Unfortunately the unit had been taken off the run the night before and it was back to CN red and black on thi...

The First Run of an LSRC SD50-3 up to Alpena Michigan
Просмотров 2482 месяца назад
With the start of six axle locomotives running on this line in the summer of 2024, the SD40-2's have been running regularly to Alpena but recently LSRC upped it and sent SD50-3 6356 up here. An SD50-3 and an SD70M duo made it half way up the line to Tawas over the summer and that was the closest one of the bigger six axles got to Alpena till now. I don't think the SD70's will make it to Alpena ...
Progress on LSRC's Franklin Street Rail Replacement Project in Alpena Michigan

A much needed upgrade to the track near Franklin St in Alpena finally happened replacing the aged 90 pound rail with new 115 pound rail. They replaced from Franklin St down to about halfway to Grant St ending near milepost 121. This spot was notorious for lots of harmonic rocking with some cars rocking so bad the trucks would lift up enough causing the wheels to lift off the rail. With the new ...

Beautiful shots and scenery !!
Nice catch of the GLC with some covered hoppers. Roll on Big Daddy. Cheers from Laurel, Delaware.
Good chase video.
Good work on catching the GLC train. Is this ex-Michigan Northern trackage ? Petoskey sounds familiar.
@@MikeG42 Thanks, yes this used to be the MIGN.
@@HuronRailProductionsok thanks. I often forget about this area since I focus mainly on the old D&M lines.
💯👍👍Andreas 👨✈👏🏻👏🏻Short GLC👍👍
@@andreasforster7757 Thank you!
Good video. The close drone shot and crossing scene at ground level were nice. Also the fading twilight was a good way to end it. Good motive power in this too.
Nicely done! Do they run each week day?
@@jackstephenson5238 Thanks! In the summer they do, right now they only come up north and go back south on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Nice shot of the stone loads in the gons. A throwback to the old days of the D&M and the stone/rock loads from them quarry's they once served. Good video 👍🏻
@@MikeG42 Thank you, hopefully these will also be shipped out in the summer.
I'm guessing this siding was named after long time employee Chris Palumbo? If so, very cool on the part of LSRC!
@@BubbieBoy That’s correct, RIP to Chris. It’s nice that LSRC named it after him.
Great video. Good choices for filming locations.
@@squibrail4014 Thank you!
👍👍👍Andreas👨✈😁
Indeed those are some fairly good-sized rocks. They look like the same type that are trucked here to the Port of Milwaukee were they put on a barge with a crane to help restablish the breakwater. There's one move to the port of Buffalo NY that involves big Granite blocks all the way from Vermont
I was surprised to see this new business sprout up. Usually no forms of stone were shipped out from Alpena in the winter months.
Nicely done!
Thanks!
What customer is shipping dimensional limestone loads?
@@davidgottschalk4441 Specification Stone loads them in Alpena and they get taken down to Kawkawlin where they're unloaded for a project down there or so I heard.
@@HuronRailProductions that's very interesting, and I appreciate your quick response
Interesting!
Well this is weird there a CSX tonight I glance but he probably said 127 I thought they left at 8am.
How many NS & SD50 yalll got nice horn
Thank you for listing the crossings you were taking the shots from.
@@charlierumsfeld6626 No problem, I try to add that kind of info best I can.
Great rescue mission video.
Nice catch of the Santa train. I would love to ride on that train just to see what it's like to ride the old D&M rails on the Mackinaw Sub. Santa waving while standing on the back deck of the last car was cool to see. Excellent video 👍🏻
@@MikeG42 Thank you, it’s a shame there isn’t a way the public could ride one of these trains.
I agree yes. They might get many customers. They could schedule a tourist train run once in awhile. @@HuronRailProductions
Excellent catch. Andreas👨✈👍👍👍
@@andreasforster7757 Thanks!
Don't know how I missed this video! It sure was beautiful with the snow back then!
Great video, nice you were able to get 4307 going down for the rescue. Poor 4325, glad now one was injured, and the transformer didn't do more damage. Crazy some of the stuff they have problems with! Thanks and Happy New Year!
@@hoophil Thank you, crew was lucky it didn’t break right through and into the cab. They got it fixed up in no time, 4325 was up here last Thursday.
Fortunately no one was injured during the impact. Too bad it happened to the anniversary unit but should be a easy repair job. Good video though. Thanks HRP
@@MikeG42 Thanks, yeah that could’ve been bad luckily it didn’t break all the way through and into the cab. 4325 is all fixed now just ran up here last Thursday.
@@HuronRailProductionsAh nice good to hear.
I see your Subdivision still not straight what was that wierd tapping sound & window look like someone vandalized it to me.
@@midmichiganemdrailfan.4187 Yeah a few others thought it was vandalized as well but when they hit the power line it pulled the transformer right into the window which is what broke it. I’m not sure what the tapping noise was.
Nice catch of the Santa train especially with the drone footage. Then to catch the CN train with it's 30 car consist of mixed freight cars. Cheers from Laurel Delaware.
Good video. Nice Michigan winter
Wow , look at that lash-up ! Rolling at a good speed too. Good catch 👍🏻
Great night catches awesome chase and nice video
Great catches awesome chase and nice video
Great video. Beautiful scenery along the track.
Anyone know when that new rail is coming?
@@anthonylabarge4331 Personally I haven’t heard anything yet, if I had to guess I would say sometime in the spring they’ll start laying it. That’s when they did it in the past.
I forgot about thoes locomotives.
@@midmichiganemdrailfan.4187 These two have only been either in Grayling or on the run to Alpena. They haven’t been used south of Saginaw in awhile.

Plenty of horsepower to carry this load and after passing that perfect little swirl of snow with the glinting diamonds. Nice start to 2025
@@paulbergen9114 Even though it was short I don’t mind catching these ones, not often they have a single car on them up here.
Very super.❤Thank from Andreas👨✈👍👍👍

Good nite footage.
Thanks, forgot I had this clip of them waiting to be uploaded.
👍👍👍Andreas👨✈️😃
Loved the shot on the bridge with a good follow up down the tracks !!
Classic example for model railroaders to show you do NOT need mile long trains to be "prototypical" in your operations. Looks like Gaylord train spent the overnight in Pinconning last night, only the number boards lit as it sat on the main behind Northwoods Outdoors Outlet. Or it was waiting for daylight to run to Standish with grain cars. Not sure, I am not an insider, just a model railroader and a fan. Nice video!
Wonderful👍👍👍Andreas👨✈️
I probably upload yesterday video today i seen LSRC DPUs
That horn sounds weird remind even background me of CN when I ues to like them when they ues to have old locomotives with good horns & bells.
Was this her idea or the hq idea for 6356 faceing same way to bad I don't see this in action besides •••••••gevo127
@@midmichiganemdrailfan.4187 6356 was coming up solo with its train then they stopped and picked up 4305 and the yellow ballast cars off the wye in Alabaster.
@HuronRailProductions You heard from 127 this morning of they arrived? I try finding them sine 101 took 2 days off
Good catch 👍🏻
