What is the box in between the pre & tuner?

I recently acquired a Toshiba cassette deck from circa 1974, and the industrial design and solidity of construction (both inside and out), is to die for. They were briefly a fantastic hifi manufacturer.

I'm afraid those are Meridian M2 loudspeakers, the M3s are smaller and have only one mid/bass driver.

Are they M2s? I think the M3s only had one bass mid driver and the tweeter

Perfect system for many smaller UK rooms.

Why did you buy a new one? Look like an old turntable is bad, no good.

I wish more tables had the overhang gauge built into it.

I bought my son one of these TT’s for his bedroom system. I tried it instead of my LP 12 in my own system and it was excellent. Bass not as convincing but amazing for the £80 I paid for it with a new Audio Technica AT95🎵🎶😎

Something i've always wondered about but never got round to googling is what's the difference between a monitor speaker in a studio and a set of speakers we have at home 🤔

Fantastic speakers. Their only downside is rather low output for such a large speaker. Those English drivers are rather delicate with not great power handling. A JBL L300 will generate about six times the acoustic output near to 120 DB but won't sound nearly as accurate and refined as the IMF.

It looks like a lot of smoke coming out of the back of that. I'd call mastercare if I were you?

The king of the PRO Dj s back in late 70s and 80s, accurate, the best for big mixes with 3 or 4 turntables. limited edition back there bery hard to find one almost impssible,,I had 2 one 1400 semi manual and the kig the 1500 mkii , wich I trade for a dj kid for a Chey Chevrolet 1988 brand new for my 2 turntables. ,......then I regret I never found one again unitl 11 year later or more since E bay appired. today i have few of them lovey and unique . they work exellent with MP4 Rane mixer or any 4 Ph chanel mixers. back the PPD numark was the only one with 3 PH in puts, few DJ can mix with 4 turnatbles....Some people call them domestic, wich I found it a mistake. is 100%Manual is professional , or it was professional, without the title. Only pro DJs actually great pro DJS handled those jewels properly.

I've had a set of System 600s for almost 20 years. The upper mids can be tough to adapt to. The low end is also not great at normal listening levels although the drivers can produce decent, clean low end if driven harder. I've always wondered if the mids issue is inherent in all their DC models or if it's just the crossover in the 600s. I suspect that is the case.

por si alguien le sirve o anda buscando lo que tambien yo anduve buscando (una comparativa entre Technics SA200 vs Yamaha CR450) definitivamente el Technics es mejor, Mejores agudos, mejores Bajos, mejor claridad y aunque el technics tiene solo 25 watts suena mas contundente.

Can I ask what are you using for a pre-amp?

My late father had one, linked to a giant 15" Goodmans woofer, all in a custom made cabinet. Awesome sound!!!

Direct earth onto the frame overcomes the HUM

Picked up a marantz cd73 in mint condition, only problem is the front panel does not flip out correctly when door opens, stays vertical, as far as I have red some forums that the player won't play cd tracks past 15, there's a simple fix, a small screw at the bottom plate, remove it, and the player will play a cd regardless of how many tracks. Cheers
